I have a 96 Talon TSi AWD, but it didn't come with a spoiler as an option. However, I found someone on dsmtrader who is selling their 96 Talon spoiler. He doesn't have the bolts; it's just the spoiler. Is the installation of this something I can do easily on my own? I only have very basic tools, but I can go to a hardware store and buy the necessary nuts and bolts.

why. 95-96 talon spoilers are ugly. I would love to have a hatch with no spoiler on it or better yet put a 97-98 talon spoiler on it:)

my talon spoiler comes off in like 2 weeks when i put the 97 clipse one on. I'll sell you mine :). hehe if you can use set screws to mark your holes and use a drill, and screw driver your all set for installing. Keep in mind the 2g spoilers have a rear whiper spot so if you dont put that on too it'll look super gay

It is very easy to put on. You should just have to line it up, mark the holes, and drill. I would skip the spoiler if i were you or get a 97+ talon spoiler. I would give you mine but it isn't coming off for awhile. If i were you i wouldn't pay more than $50 for one. If you live in califonia and you want to would want to swap hatches, we could both win. You could have a free spoiler, i could have mine gone and no holes. I would in a country that is 3000 miles accross that you don't live very close though

Hrm, does anyone have a picture of a 96 Talon spoiler? Maybe I am confusing it for the newer one... Thanks...

Dammit, I was confusing it with the 97-98 spoiler. I already have that spoiler on mine. I didn't even realize it was a spoiler... Pfft...

*cries* kill the picture, the spoiler is just so ugly. hehe I couldnt imagine some1 wanting to put one on.
You haven't had your car for that long huh? You get used to it after awhile. I could care less about it now. It isn't worth $500 for something else.

I wasn't going to spend $500, the guy was going to sell it to me for $35. I thought that was a pretty good deal, until I realized that I already have that spoiler. I want the 97-98 spoiler though. I think it's the best looking spoiler I've seen on any car. It's unique, and it serves it's purpose. The 95-96 seems like it wouldn't be as effective either...

I suggest you try making a who new thread. I think it will get attention from more people who can help you out...

Anyone know where I could get a replacement spoiler for my 96 GST? There is a nasty spot where the paint has faded and it's almost totally white! Thanks.
You don't need a new spoiler, only new paint. Go to a body shop and get an estimate. I would imagine it would be around $100 if you sand yourself. If you sand yourself, start with 200grit, then 300, then 400 and your ready for primer. Before that, try some polish and see if that helps at all. It sounds bad so it probably won't help much.

From Satan (AKA Dealer) costs $270 Plus Additional for light as it does not come with it, plus the bolts which are $2 each 5 needed.

Here are the numbers for getting them at the dealer
Spoiler 97-98 MR236471
Light 97-98 MR245023
Bolts for it MR240141

Mine came painted black (Super Glossy) and with the gaskets in place. Just to give you an idea.
