Hey whats going on guys, new to ths dsmtalk, but I need some advice already. I have a 98 Eclipse GS-T and I want that baby running 12's A.S.A.P. I was told to start out with a fuel pump, AFC, and injectors but I want a FMIC first. I see so many on the market though, and I dont know which to choose. Any have good/bad experiences with theirs? Some suggestions please? I was thinking going with the Apexi GT but I dont know, that core looks like a little sissy core. Any help would be great guys, thanks!!

Everyone can have a hook up look around online for good priced intercoolers. I don't know why everyone is paying out of their ass for name brands like greddy and others. There are plently of places that sell cheap cores and cheap endcaps. Just bring them to a local welder that can weld aluminum and pressure test it for u. I don't get why someone would throw away $1,200 for a FMIC when they can get them for $400 check this out

the 24x12 is $400+s/h.the price is cool but how good is the core? now how much is it going to cost you to get some 2 1/2 inch pipe from the turbo to the throttle body done the rite way
I don't know how efficent the core is. I've posted that numberous times over at dsmtuners and no one would give me the time of day over there. I've seen a few people that have them, with large turbos and have no problem. IMO about the IC pipes a shop can custom make some for u 2.5" for not alot of money

I"m pretty sure dejon tool has a 2g big intercooler. I have their 1g big intercooler. The welds etc.. are insane. That's the way i'd go after getting some other mods

yes dejon dose have a big race core for a 2g.this is the one Im talking about.it's only $950 and if Im rite its bigger than imdrax's pic.I know that its bigger than the hahnand the greddy
imdrax, That looks just like a Greddy SPL core for the 240sx/Silvia. They are big, but not as big as my R34 GTR core! Here is a picture of it from under the hood. Yuo can see how it goes all the way up to the hood latch and and about two inches below the frame work. The second picture is of tsi terrorists Dejon ic taken by a cell phone camera.

If you look at the pictures of it you'll see why people pay good money for good intercoolers insted of those shitty things. First, the inlet and outlets are only 2in as seen here.
That depends on your resorcefulness and how cheap you get the EVO (used) i/c for in the first palce. It would be better than stock. I do agree with the above statment if you are talking about getting a good aftermarket EVO intercooler, it wouldn't really be worth it. (unless it's an ARC.. ... .. :hail
I've been following the thread for a while now. And to update everyone and add my two cents, I just installed my Dejon race FMIC on Saturday and I love it. I lost my stock foglights so if anybody needs a set of OEM foglights let me know

That FMIC looks nice man! Dejon-Tool makes some nice stuff! I was personally thinking of getting their upgraded SMIC for 2Gs... They claim its good for 450hp or something if I recall correctly.
As diambo4life said though the mods will delete your signature if you don't get rid of the link, and I believe you're only allowed 4 lines of text... I think you have quite a bit more than that. On top of that your sig image is over 20000 bytes....
