what are your best 60 ft on a your stock clutch on AWD cars? Mine was 2.0 flat, i know i can do better, but some guy trash talkin said he can pull a 1.7 on a stock clutch in his GVR4, i don't believe him, but what are your personal bests?

I ran a 1.678 60'

I got that 1.790 by revving the engine quickly off the line and then flooring it at 4k rpm and lettin out the clucth. The key to it that I found is to quicky rev the engine instead of holding it at a certain rpm.

best i could do with a clutch that was somewhat ready to go was a 2.0 i was a new driver at the time then i switched to the 2600.

I do have a friend that busted a 1.6 with stock suspension everything else in the car was stock but a boost controler(15psi) and a k&n. This was in a 1g

Hi,

I think mine is 2.3s with 3k to 4k launch. slip launch, not 5k dead drop type.

Does 2.3s make sense on a stock car (with stock stufss. no mods at all)?

Thanks,

Andrew

I would work on it a little bit. When my car was completely stock i could get 1.9 60's. That was when i sucked at AWD too.

I agree, I'd definitely work on it. With a healthy clutch and an AWD DSM, you should be pulling consistent sub 2.0 60' times. Take it to the track and practice, practice, practice! ;) (Something I need to do)

Thanks for the encouragement. :D

Well, that sucky 2.3s is actually with a damn stock clutch with 72k miles on it. It's not a good thing to have....

Later,

Andrew
