ok before we flame i was just thinking (i know thats dangerous) to see what others would think... what if your boost gauge had a little shift light with it... im not talking about something huge like on them 8" tachs, but a little red LED or something... i mean if a big ass tach can do it why not wire up a little red LED right by your Boost gauge just for a little conveinece feature... if its too much work to be practicle then F it... but if its doable and not too expensive i would not mind having one...
in some ways i think this is a good idea, but then i think some more and it seems kinda useless/retarded... it might be an advantage if you had creep... and if you just like having cool gadgets...

If its an Electronic Boost gauge, all you would need is a POT, a LED and some quality time with a multimeter to figure out what exactly the MAP sensor is sending. if its a Mechanical gauge, then youd need the same thing, plus youd have to tear the gauge appart, void any warentee on it, and probably ruin it.

o----------P
O---------|------ to signal

O= gauge
o=led
P= pot

of course you'd need to find what kind of signal the map is sending first to decide what POT and LED to get (Id assume its a 0-5v setup on most) and you may need a nother resistor between the POT and the LED, again, depending on what the signal is like from the MAP.
