For you.......no. You dont have enough money to run out of things to buy. Shoot, You could have 20grand so fast into that thing. Get a nice huge turbo for like ya know 1600, then a big fmic kit for like 1400, nice exaust for like 1200(includes o2 housing. New manifold for like 500. Intake mani for 600. Wheels and tires for like 1600. Suspension for like 2grand. All your fuel equiptment for like 2grand if your lucky. Strong pistons, rebuilt heads, Racing tranny. Dont worry about it....your just a little guy.;)

Actually I think all supporting mods are smarter than getting a larger turbo. Even though it's a T-25 and not a 14b, he can still benefit from a FMIC.

Actually the pressure drop of a FMIC will kill a T25. I wouldnt put a FMIC on that turbo because it will probably degrade his performance more than it will help it.

i went 13.8 on stock side mount with no boost control or afc. I the added a apexi fmic and ran a 13.7@97 with no boost control or afc still.

My mods at the time where:
act2600
k&n hacked dumptube
Greddy type S bov
walbro 255
3in turbo back
B&m fpr
eibach springs
and a decent set of tires.
no back seats

its all about driving

My suggestion is that you make wheels and tires your first mod. I usually recommend this to owner of FWD DSMs. This is because you will be able to launch higher, shifter higher, spool without spinning, brake, and handle better. Not to mention the added looks of the car. Also, if you get really lightweight rims, you may notice a boost in acceleration from that as well.
yeh im sure he could grab some slicks and a nice lite set of wheels but seriously all that money you would spend on a set of tires/wheels could be spent in different areas to make the car perform alot better. hell in a 1g the money you would spend on a wheel tire combo you could easily be in the low 13's(fwd) and 12's for an awd.

Ya but he probably didn't get much of a perfomance gain with it because I also went 13.7 on a t-25 with only exhaust, intake, bov, mbc, and an UICP.
The fact that he had no boost controller shows that it might have made a difference, but I am still skeptical. I would think that one of the advantages of running an FMIC with the T25 is that you could actually go past 15PSI because the FMIC would help in cooling all the hot air the turbo produces past that point.

the reason i added a fmic is because i planned on buying an fp green setup in a few weeks, but my plans quickly went downhill after blowing up my 7bolt bottom end. its not hard to turn 13second timeslips in a 2g with a t25 if you can drive your car;)

I wasn't dissing your purchase of an FMIC. I think it is a good idea, because you were preparing for a bigger turbo. I figured as much. I was just skeptical of the FMIC making much of a difference without an MBC.

tell me about it!!! if it wasnt for people like You i wouldn have that 6bolt sitting in my car man!;)

i guess if me and K_mans_tsi offend anyone, we are the type that like to get the most out of what we have so i apologize if i came off like an ass to anyone. there are just certian things you need and dont need to make a car fast.;) ok im gonna shut up now.

The T-25 is a tiny little hair drier, and cannot flow enough air through a FMIC to make any real HP benefits. The psi drop is going to mean that the turbo needs to flow more air to get the same amount of boost. This means that the turbo is going to be working really hard, and is super heating that air (due to the T-25 smallness).

lets say there's a 2psi pressure drop....with no boost controller bobby was lucky to hit 15 on the stock sidemount with his mods, the pressure drop woudlt work the car any harder than running 17psi with a boost controller.

uh... keep talking... so... what if you didnt get one of those humongous FMIC's? then it WOULD be benneficial.. would a medium size FMIC still be good for like a 16g? or at least better than the smic?

almost any from mount would be very benefitial for a larger turbo such as a 16g. What I'm saying is dont upgrade the intercooler untill you upgrade the turbo.
