Last time I went to the track all I could muster was low 16's!
I'm not really spinning at all - my 60' times are about 2.2-2.3 , so the launch is good as it can get on street tires.
My R/t's were about 1.10 - 1.20 ( not great, but OK for joe schmoe)
Trap speeds are low 90's. I see similar cars get low 15' s and high 14's, but seems impossible for me. What's going wrong here?
 
I wouldnt say he is loosing top end if his trap speeds are in the 90's.
Post you entire slip here please for inspection.

Well, I could only find the slip from the shittiest run (figures), but here it is anyway:

R/t= 1.20 (snooz)zzzz
60'= 2.82 (slip)
330= 7.219
1/8= 10.75
Mph= 69.66
1000= 13.73
1/4= 16.20
Mph= 92.2

I was actually running like 2.4 - 2.5 60' consistantly and a little better R/t , but the times were higher and trap speeds higher for those runs! :confused:

My clutch is fairly new, but just a stocker. I dont detect slippage, but if i'm not completely off it, the sucker will spin at the drop of a hat.
I can't shift any faster *crunch* and at the end of my runs i'm still in 3rd just before redline.

Well, r/t won't matter, just work on those 60 fts for sure. It all takes practice. What kind of gas are you running at the track?

I went 104 in 3rd gear, probably at the tip of redline, but that's still 12 mph faster than when you say you're just before redline. What rpm are you shifting at?
 
What are you launching at? Are you launching at all? Are you just spinning your tires? I don't understand how you can hit a 16.2@92mph when I got a 15.77@87mph.

What are you shifting at?
 
What altitude do you run at? If it was in Las Vegas that could be why....

I usually launch at 3-3.5K rpms and slip the clutch a bit to keep the traction, but when I start reaching the top of 1st the sucker will spin easy. The stock turbo spools so fast with my mods it's hard to modulate the power. For the most part I don't really spin that mutch, maybe a chirp or a squeel. I hit 15psi quick in 2nd and even squeel if i'm not careful.
Vegas is not that high - maybe 2000 - 2500ft. I'm reduced to 91 oct fuel though.:mad:
