Hello,
I am new to this forum but a DSM comunity is the only place i can turn to with my question.

I have a 2nd gen Eclipse with 18 inch wheels but i am in love with the Racing Hart 19's CX.

The problem is that i dont know what with to get me for my car.
It is a FWD machine with 400+ WHP so i need a lot of trackion without losing out on the steering conford ( spelling ? ). And the rear has to be solid too with this much power.
I want to ask you if anyone can tell me the maximum with i can put on the front and rear arches of the car, with and without rolling the fenders and what would the best sutible option be. Are there paople with 19's mounted on their cars.

My best bet is this one
Front: 19x8.5 5x114.3
Rear: 19x9.5 5x114.3

Am i right ! :( i really dont know.

Thank you.

Because i am going to "invest" a lot of money in those wheels for the car and i want to know what the best set is to buy. I dont know any Eclipses here in Holland that have 19's on them and if i go to a garage over here then they want me to buy them there but the CX is nowere to be found in Holland. That drove to to order some on the internet but then the info i get from the seller was that they didnt know to much about the facts of the Eclipse arches. I want to drive the DSM proudly here in Holland so that is why.

He thx's b95Talontsi
That is just what i was looking for. A clear picture of the way ofsets work and stuff. Great.
The 19 wheels are not listed in the diagram but when i get them i will post my findings on that page.

And yes the car does have that bling on it. I am not ashamed of it, only because it is the right bling. Lots of carbonfibre and stuff but the stock color is still availible so the whole machine is not TOO obvious. I know good bling from bad.

I am going through the tire pages and then order the wheels.
I have a Photoshop picture of the wheels on my car on Cardomain. It looks soo good that i cant take waiting any longer.
Again thx's

The rims were Photoshopped on the car and will be on the machine for real some day. The carbon fender is also a trick but my dear friend in the US is custom making them right now for my and his car. They will look great. It is the F1 style fender.

But i must say.. i have blown my engine today. Have a Garret and lots of HKS and ARP goods but the stock pistons of my implanted 6 bolter. Poef out of the oilcan. I am going for a set of Wiseco's now to fix that up too. 23 psi was too much for the Mitsubishi items.

This is what the car looks like now.

Yeah the wing :) i know it is a little too much maybe but this car is show and go. This is a Wings West piece with a centre foot. That means the wind plays with is above the 60 mph. It really pushes the car down in a pleasant way at higher speeds. I havn't driven top yet ( pistons just blown yesterday ) but some downforce is a must and i think this one is in style.
You should see it "working" at wigh speeds. If you have ever flown with a plane and sat next to the wing you see the wind play with it. A bit scary at first but i drove ones 260 KMH with it and it stayd on the car  like it should.
Also the single foot construction keeps the vibration out of the car. It functions as an absorber as well. Dont rise this one out please it is serious gear.

Also thank you for the kind replay's on the car. Like i said it is a show piece and the new rims will only increase it even more so i will post a pic of the custom taillights and inside autometer cobalt gauges. I love this car and am trying my best to make it the best possible. zzzz really.

JDM sh** is hot yo!

You got a JDM Eclipse horn! What a find, Such a rare car!

Let me explain. I had ordered something that i really wanted and after surfing the site some more i found the set of toetmachines.
Than i heard that the main item wasn't availible anymore and if they could ship the horns alone. Ah well why not. The main item was the HKS exhaust.
But thanks for reminding me.

I've seen 19" on a Lithuanian Talon ESi...it wasn't lowered so everything was good. Oh..and saw this rather recently on DSMTuners...also 19"s...so yeah...it can be done...but you're lucky you're in Holland - having good pavement helps a lot.

But if you want your car to be more go than show, then I'd recomend some lightweight wheels...and as small as you don't feel uncomfortable about. Like some 17" Kosei Racing wheels that weight in at ~7kg each and comparably are light as a feather.
