Quick question... is the drain plug supposed to have a crush washer on it? cuz if it is.... then taht would explain why mine keeps leaking even though its tight.

what size would the crush washer be... assuming one is supposed to be there.

this is gonna suck to pull the plug... i just spent good money on a half and half mix of Redline MT90 and Lucas Gear oil (Shep's own mix)

That lube isn't going to wear while draining. Keep it clean and put it back.

Sheperd really runs half Redline mt 90 and half lucas gear oil? Is there a significant difference over straight bg syncroshift or other popular synthetic gear oils? Just curious...

redline and lucas, thats gonna be pretty clucky till it warms up sheperd probally does that becaus ehe probally gets the tranny real hot, i wouldnt want to use it in a daily driver though, just my opinion

well. thats what he told us to use when we were putting in our tranny... that he built himself.... one of the first tranny's that he ever put double synchros in 3rd gear and reused the gear. but yea, we were told half-and-half so, its the best idear ive heard so far, besides, he built it. i hope he knows what the tranny runs best with.

anyhow, i could reuse it, assuming my drain pan is clean... i wonder if till drain thru a coffee filter ok... or if it is too thick to pass thru the pores. guess ill have to try it when i get some spare time.
