I'm looking into getting a 1g tb and IM to put on a 2g gst is there any sensors, wiring or anything else that i would need to install it. Also is there going to be much of performance gain because i'm still going to be running a 2g head. If anyone has install tips feel free to post away. Thanks.

You will probably see some power loss because the intake ports on a 2G head is much smaller than 1G intake manifold runners. Always pair 1G IM with a 1G head and 2G IM with a 2G head.

So would it be worth changing over to a 1g tb and leaving the 2g Im or would it be the same type of thing because of the 2g IM being smaller?

As oldman stated putting a 1g intake manifold on the 2g head is a bad idea but the 1g throttle body will still work. Be sure to port match the intake manifold to the throttle body.

Yes it's worth it, all you have to do is port the 2G IM inlet to 60mm.
Thats going to be a problem cause i don't have the tools to port the IM. I've been dealing with boost creep because of needing to port the wastegate passage on my turbo but yet again i don't have the tools.

Intake manifold is made of aluminum, a dremel with metal grinding stone will do, unlike the cast iron turbine housing which requires die grinder and carbide burrs. This should take no more than 10 mins, you don't even have to remove the IM.

How do you keep in metal from falling in the intake manifold?

You stuff the inlet with a rag then vacuum everything afterwards, this is how most people do it, also how I did my 1G manifold with my 63mm TB.
Sounds good. Thanks for your help man.

Is there anyway to tell the difference from a 90 tb and 91-94 tb?
