Well i just bought my 90 TSi all wheel drive, and we are still putting some finishing touches on the routine maintanence as well at a few mods. But for these two races, all i had was 18psi and the open road. The first Z was an auto with a stall converter..he thought he was pretty bad..but the talon laid the smack down on him by three or four car lengths at the end. The second Z was heavily modded. It had an exhaust, new rear, intake, and a bunch of other bolt ons. He is well known for having one of the fastest v8's around. Well in the end, we were one car length ahead...so im very proud of my Talon..it performed very well for not being in top condition. Im ready for some more

Yeah, my cousin graduated from UTI, he used to work on Talons all the time. He is the one that is going to tune the car. Everything is running fine, but i know in the future, there is a mutt level 2 and a fuel system upgrade coming.

you know..i think every car is different.. on the stock fuel pump my car reads between .92-.98 volts depending on the gear on the new 02 sensor and my EGTs are always less than 1400..which indicates a real rich mixture..ive hit 18psi before but everyone keeps telling me thats too high..so i keep it at about 16. it seems like the car starts to break up about the middle of 3rd gear though so i think i just need an AFC to lean it out on the bottom end and then richen it up when the timing starts getting pulled.but anyway..going by my gauges..my car is pig rich on the stock fuel pump. one time i raced a 93 firehawk..and in 4th gear it was neck and neck and i looked at the boost and it was at 19lbs...i let off as soon as i noticed it creeped that high..it didnt do any damage thankfully but i am more careful now. my homemade boost controller can creep a lot i guess. anyway thats my 2 cents.

Well, my cousin had a chance to dyno a stock 1990 GSX in Texas at UTI. Your not going to believe me, but the car dynoed at 247hp. This car had 182000 miles on it and it was blowing blue smoke out of the tailpipe. I do believe that every car is different. With my car...everything is running perfectly on 18 psi..and i trust my cousin to do things right.

"Well, my cousin had a chance to dyno a stock 1990 GSX in Texas at UTI. Your not going to believe me, but the car dynoed at 247hp."

LMAO
youve got to be kidding me. A stock gsx dynoed at 247.
wut did he do dyno, take that number and multiply it by 2.
A stock gsx doesnt run more than 195 horses at the flywheel
which is around like 150 to the wheels.
and id also like to now how he dynoed considering all wheel drive cars are kinda hard to dyno?

Well i guess some of you have never heard of an AWD dyno. And no, he didnt multiply the number by two. Unless your kinda dumb, the 1st Gen's were highly under rated. They dynoed the GSX three times actually, and 247 was the lowest amount of HP. It only fluctuated a few hp..but still, 247 is alot.

What are your track times, Mr. No sig??

#11 ·
First off...NO stock DSM is going to dyno 247 to the wheels..that almost exatly 100 more HP than a stock one should dyno. 200 flywheel HP with a 20% drivetrain loss is about 160 HP..even a stock DSM with a boost controller isnt going to get another 100 HP from no where. 247 at the wheels is almost 300 at the flywheel..come on thats ridiculous.

On another note...what kind of Z28s were you beating by 5 carlengths? im thinking they must have been 3rd gens if all you had was 18 psi.

Number one..i dont know..im going by what my cousin and two other guys from uti saw on the damn dino. Number two..who ever said 5 car lengths..i said three or four..and this was on an auto..and who the hell knows why he was so far behind...so take your sarcastics responses..and grow up a little.
....And no i dont have a sig

I usually don't post but.........

You are an exaggerator. Your brother is a liar. Or both. I'm guessing you don't even have a brother or a cousin. I don't really care.

When was this AWD talon supposedly dyno'd? No AWD dyno even existed in the USA in 1999. Altered Atmosphere was the first to acquire a true dynojet AWD dyno. I don't think there are more than 3 AWD dynos in the America at this time. And I very strongly disbelieve that UTI owns one, and especially that they owned one before NOW if they do.

Sorry to punk you, but you are obviously a liar and not ignorant, but idiotic.

Aaron.

Haha..you guys are a trip. when someone posts a message, your not supposed to critisize every single word that is typed..you are all a bunch of fuck ups. you could learn something if you would just sit back and listen. This site is a bunch of shit. You all need to learn a lot. all i can say is fuck you all for being so stupid..and take your site and shove it up your ass...but you might want to take all ur heads out first

#15 ·
You dyno'ed 247HP to the teeth on the shit talking Dyno. When a dumbass like yourself posts a dumbass message talking a bunch of dumbass shit, you are going to get treated like..well...a dumbass. Oh yeah, and those Camaro's you raced A. do not classify as heavily modded, and B. were both Tuned Port Injection 2.8L V6's. Take your Civic and leave.

thats exactly the type of response a 15 year old would write after making up a kill story to put on this site. There are these things called "facts" which you can not seem to grasp FACT: NO stock DSM will dyno 247 to the wheels. FACT: you do not have first hand knowledge of Dynometers. FACT: you THINK you know..and thats were the problem starts. There is nothing wrong with saying you beat a Z28....just at least come up with something to back your story up. im sure this thread will be locked soon.

well this is my first post here and after looking around you realize most people here know their shiznit. as far as hyper goes, sorry man i dont buy the stock gsx dynoed at 180,000 miles pulling 247hp. sorry there is no way. given the variables that stock cars represent. the most variation between any given 2 will be more likely around 10 or so hp. if that many. and for the awd dyno there are a few. i think uprd has one its made by a company called clayton.(i think)sport compact car tested their suby project 2.5 rs on it. well ijust wanted to put in my 2 cents yo.

Just gotta add that if the "fastest V8 around" got beat by a stock talon...well you live in a piss poor town.
