Here is the deal. I have my 6bolt motor out of the machine shop and the 2nd gen head ready to put into my 1995 GST. The mechanic who was going to do all the work putting everything back together and rewiring the ECU has decided he doesn't want to do it. This is after I have spent more money than I would like to add up getting the block built.
What should I do to get everything up and running??? There is not really anyone I know around here that would fool with doing this. I dont' really have much experience doing anything major to cars. Does anyone know of a place in the south that might would be willing to accomadate my needs???
Is there much to rewiring the ecu???? Or does anyone sell a wiring harness that would make it where i didn't have to take the chance of screwing something up???

Changed your thread title... try to be more descriptive next time. :)

I have looked at all of the information on the websites and printed everything up. The problem is that I do not have anywhere near the tools to do the job myself. I don't have a place to do it either. Not to mention the fact that I work from 10am- 9pm most days.
How long should it take to do the job if i have the motor put back together?? What kind of problems are commonly run into??
Should I try to wire the ECU myself???

Well, here is the thing: I've found with cars you can read and read and read and won't know how to do it, until you do it. As for the tools, you can usually rent an engine crane from Pepboys and what not. If you don't have a torque wrench, get a clickie kind. They're fun. If you have to ask about the wiring, you probably shouldn't try it. If you still feel uncomfortable doing it after you talk to a few people, just start calling shops. Eventually you'll find one.

I really hope you raised hell at this shop. They did all the machine work, and were like, "ok here's your engine!! have fun.." after talking to them about it.
