The turining radius on my esi and tsi talons are pretty bad.. Is there any way i can improve them ?

Not without changing everything on the front end. Plus as it is they dont have deep wheel wells so there for if you do get a better turning angle on the tires you face the tire rubbing on the body. It sucks I know but get use to it.

yea i hate it... gotta do three point turns in like.. really thick streets are even difficult sometimes lol
(when most cars can just do a U turn)

I now understand why Mitsubishi was playing with 4-wheel-steering on the Galants and Steath/3000gt. There aren't many cars this size that turn worse :( I'm pretty sure the 1G turns tighter than the 2G. Any body know what the turning radius values are?

Hopefully someone knows a trick to get a little tighter turning radius.

Absolutely wrong in your assumption. Mitsubishis 4-wheel steering works at higher speeds and only did an angle of about 3 degrees....

if you're AWD, crank the wheel hard to either side, and launch it. Guaranteed to do a 180 degree turn in 1 lane. I've done a 270 twice. And no, it doesn't have to be wet.

I really don't have a need to take U-turns that often anyways. I guess some of you guys get lost more than others :p
Cruising up and down the local strip requires you to make a u-turn, if you want to keep cruising. Unless you just do a ricer flyby, one pass haul ass. *shrug*

it can be done in an auto .. a lot trickier .. but I've been in a 1g auto that's done it. I haven't personally done it, but I've seen it done, so I know it can be.

Ha ha ha ha hah!!!
When my boyfriend first got his STi, he was complaining about how sucky it's turning radius was. The first time I drove it, I was like DAMN this thing turns so tight, it's awesome. He looks at me like I'm crazy. Then I let him maneuver my ESi (waaaay worse than the TSi) and he says it turns like a motorhome.

I recently got an AMC Eagle SX/4, and let me tell you..... I can be 3/4 of the way past a parking spot, turn the wheel (not even to lock) and slither right in. It can drive in a circle almost pivoting on it's rear wheel. In either of the Talons, the rear wheel circle would be 30 feet in diameter, I'm sure.

On a side note, when we first pulled the TSi apart, we sort of mal-aligned the steering components when putting it back together. I had TERRIBLE left hand turns, but could make the tightest right-hand u turn ever. We've since remedied the vehicle, but I miss those days of the great right turn.
