Last night as usual thursday night meets at Devonshire and Balboa, just chilling, 100 + Cars tonight and the Popos rolling around don't seem to mind tonight. I see one 2g talon and try to leave at the same time to catch a race. I heard his car while idling. Definately camming. I think he woulda beat the shit out of me, but he didn't want to go. :chair: Anyways, I roll out and this STi and M3 are heading the same direction. We get caught at the light together and they are all reving and bov saluting. We all hop on the freeway and line up 75 roll. I drop to 4th as the Sti honks it off and brake boost to hit full boost just as we mash. They both pulled on me so little by like 1/2 a car to 120.. :chair: I shifted to 5th to soon. :chair: We line up again.65mph. M3 and Sti mash just as I get there and I have no time to break boost. The M3 got the jump on both me and STi...and proceeded to walk away from me 2 1/2 cars, which I didn't care I was gonna miss my exit if I kept going, The M3 pulled on the Sti hard to. Probably about 2 cars. It was just slightly out of my leage competition, but I think I hung pretty well w/ the STi and M3. Sti had intake Exhaust, ??? M3 E36???? :tat: :chair: I want to know so bad because I have beatin e36s before but this one smoked me and the STi. Fun night.

But just think how much they paid for their cars and they only beat you by 2 1/2 lengths. Not too bad imo.

M3 probably had a small shot, 50 or 75 I would guess. Stock e36's are pretty easy for a lightly modded dsm to take down.

^^agreed. and e36 only has 240 hp. they weigh in at a lil over 3200lbs as well. he had somethin that wasnt stock if he was walkin on an sti. i would say it was more than a 50-75 shot as well. it sounds like you got owned by some powerful cars. good death!!

Sounds to me he is an auto, and enveous that you HAD a 5th gear to SHIFT into lol, I hate autos, love my 5 spd

Eh, Ive seen that not very many bimmer owners use nitrous that often.. Most go for some other kind of f.i... I doubt that a stock or mildly modded STi could keep up with an E36 M3 with a 50-75 shot on the highway.. If anything, the guy had some good cams, exhaust, intake, and header.. At least thats what it sounds like to me..

^^^^ are you kidding me? e36 has 240hp. add 70 to that you get 310. even with the shot its still has less hp than an e46. i would say he had a pretty good setup to outroll a modded sti.

yes i agree. i have raced couple of m3s new and older ones and none of them have came close to beating me. and they were stock. so he deff has something up his sleeve lol. for all u know the guy in the sti could stink at driving to.

I still did not get a chance to speak with him, but I have heard rumors he is s/c.. I was next to the STi directly so all I could hear was my Talon and his boxer sound. I don't want to believe the rumor completely, but that would clear some of that unexplained power..
