I've read numerous threads of people debating about the N/A blocks having and not having knock sensor bungs. Yet I did not find my actual answer. I bought a used 1991 4G63 6-bolt and according to several threads, it should have a spot for the knock sensor (should just need tapped). Well I can't seem to find it. The only place that it looks like it might be is up near the very top of the block. Wouldn't this cause a phantom knock from the head vibrations?
That being said, where/how would I install a bung to screw the knock sensor into? Same place as a turbo block? Red circle in picture below is the only possible sensor-like place on the block.:dunno:
I am planning on installing this engine into a 1997 GSX after lots of modifications to the engine.
Thanks for your help and patience!
