So I was rolling around on the 1st of the month and it was about dusk. I see this freshly painted crx that I always see at school. Either way he is trying to make it look like the Trueno in Initial D, its ugly. The hood is painted black and the car itself is white. Well he said he had a motor swap over to an Integra motor, I thought he ment GS-R (b18c1) but no its the LS (b18a1) anyway he says he took it up to our local track Bandimere and ran a 16.5 I dont want to put him down but that is slow as shit, atleast hes not lying about it. Hes said we should race a couple times so I figured tonite was the night. This was right before my fuel filter completely clogged too so I was bogging and bucking a little bit. He thought she was an eclipse because of my front bumper, but I talked it over with him and made sure he knew what he was up against. I told him it was AWD and he still wanted to go from a light, I dunno what it is with kids these days with FWD trying to go from stop. Either way we get a light right in the middle of my small city next to my highschool. I take it up to probably 4-4.5 after the light turns, he skirts out of the hole and I give him about a car right there, but after I start to feather, he does not even see it, i've got about a fender on him after 1st gear and slam second. I spool quick and am gone, my car doesn't buck or cut out this run so I am happy. I finished it out doubling the speed limit at the end of third, with about 3-4 lengths on him. He said after this that he got a bad launch, i'm sure it felt that way seeing how hard the AWD pules out of the hole. Those CRX's are light though, i'm sure if it had a more potent motor it would be good, but the LS doesn't even have VTEC. He claims it weighs 2050 with him in it. This just goes to show there is no replacement for displacement.

hope you liked, peace

Wait until you run into one that isn't just a loud mouth dumb ass.
A H22 or LS/turbo swap in a CRX or hatch can be a bad situation for you. If you're only getting a few cars on a 16 second car... yours is slow too.
Especially with AWD.
Also, I've seen a Honda with a good driver.
They don't suck out of the hole.

Sorry, I hate to interject reality...
Proper swaps, can yield low 12's in those configurations...
Without turbo...

The problem is they are OFTEN not done right.
Or a sick/tired motor dropped in.
I encountered a sedan WITH LS, a turbo, FMIC, etc etc etc and handed him 4 buses...
Time to start modding...
;)
Why kill them when you can murder them...
:D

Exactly. Where I live there isnt alot of dsmers, maybe 5 if you dont count the 2g guys (thats another story). Well theres a close group of us that hang out, mostly diverse group of imports. But the honda guys are serious. No sohc's here.

I drove my friends LS powered crx last week and let me tell you that thing is fun. Hes probably into the low 13's on the bottle. But theres no telling with his slicks though.

Saw 13.1-13.3 in a newer hatch with cams, gears, intake exhaust.
Straight H22.
No funny business. Nothing gutted either.
I'd say better than avg Honda driver, in general maybe 1-10 (6)
Del sol, swapped, and turbo'd (low boost, they were laughing...)
mid 13's... (turned out to be 1/2 boost, he went mid 11ties... when he got beat by some pos and the driver opened his mouth)
Thats all I was saying... watch your mouth.
Those little light Honda's could have your ace of spades.
(!)

And, please... please, don't yap if you just beat a 16 sec car by a few.
Stock DSM's do that.
Be careful... you might find a Honda "enthusiast" and not a ricer some time...
They are out there.

well atleast I was pumped about my kill haha I never stated I thought all Honda's were slow, my brother had a Civic with the d16y8 w/a t25 and it was pretty bad I thought at like 12-13psi...i'm planning more mods as we speak..6000ft about sea level is not prime scene that for sure so I post just whatevers going on, I got smoked tonite by a 2.0t sabb running like 15psi, spanked him out of the hole then he spooled up and my measly boost was not enough.
