will the stock fuel gauge still work correctly? I don't want to be second guessing how much gas I have left!

 

The stock fuel gauge doesn't work correctly now, they never do. Is this on a street car? Why a cell?

 

its a street/show/semi-track car. The reason for the switch was mostly cosmetic, but also for some major weight reduction.

 

How much weight does the stock fuel tank weigh on a 1g? I was thinking about a fuel cell also but Im not sure of the regulations at the track?? and if it would be worth my time and money.

 

i was also thinking of a fuel cell, are going to put it in your trunk, your under the car in the same location as the stock one?
If in you trunk how are you going to fill it?
I didn't want to open the hatch and get gas smell in my car, but i'm not sure how to hook up the gas filling tube thing. Any info would be great.

They make fill caps for fuel cells that have a metal filler neck like regular gas tanks do. It bolts on in place of the regular fill cap on the fuel cell. You use fuel hose (don't know what diameter) to connect the metal filler neck on the body to the filler neck on the fuel cell.

 

how big a fuel cell can you fit in the trunk? I'd like to put a 12 gallon one in there but if it won't fit I think a 8 gallon would....
