Thought I would share alittle what I am doing over the off season.
Doesn't look like much as of now as the car is pretty torn apart right now. But as the progress continues I will post more pics of the new setup.
Got the new turbo in last week, GT4202 102mm turbo.
AEM injector driver box for the 1600cc injectors
New Afco drag racing radiator
I converted over to all SS braided radiator hoses with -16 an fittings and all.
Alternator relocation kit, moves alternator to the back of the block for more room up front
Kevlar timing belt
Among other things that I still awaiting on
Sorry for the blury pics, my cam is dying on me.
Pictures just do not do this turbo justice, the damn thing weighs in at 43lbs, heavy SOB.
This is the gt42 against my t4 t67 turbo that I ran this past season into the 9's

Hey Jake, why didnt you go with the "R" version? I currently have the same turbo (GT4202) on my 2g, (BTW a DNP manifold works great with the turbo) anyways I've gotten quite a bit of shit from people for not going with the "R" version. Just curious if you have any specific reason besides that its so much more expensive.

So far I've "heard" that the GT4202r makes so much more power than the GT4202. Not sure if this is true but I couldnt see why a BB center cartrige would make 2-300hp more like some people claim. Thats another reason I didnt get a "R".

Setup looks good... Better get your NHRA license this spring and dont forget your chute! :D

Couple of reasons why I went with the gt4202 rather the then "R" version of it. 1=The bb version is damn near $1200 more, 2=I am using nitrous next season so the spool will not be all that bad, and 3=after talking to shep, FP, Shearer and a few others, there is new performance difference between the 2 other then the bb version spools just a tad more out of the hole. I dunno where people come off saying that you will get more power out of the "r" version, thats horse shit lol. It's the same turbo, same wheels, compressor housings, exhaust housings ect. Only difference is it's non BB.

Also I got my NHRA license this past season, thats all taken care of:)

:D Beautiful! Those are some fat SS braided hoses, just curious how much do those go for?
It was very expensive, between the lines and hose ends/fittings it came out to around $250.
