I will be getting a fair amount of money by the end of this week and I was planning on using the money for head work, such as cams, springs, retainers, head gasket, head studs, and timing belt. But I decided to postpone that and give the car a fresh coat of paint. I'd like to paint it black, but it's not decided yet...

 

Thats a good move to get some cosmetic work..... My first 1ga had some special fade on the quarter panel, just like yours....lol .. But my car was red...So on that quarter it looked kinda pink....haha.

They fit just fine. On 1g's though they stick a good quarter inch past the front fenders.

Nice find, I would rock those. As for your car, yeah repainting it black would be easist, considering door frames, engine bay, etc will stay the same color.

Evo hasn't been parted yet, I am waiting on my friend to deliver the rims to me. I wanted the seats too but he wanted $1000 No thanks....

 

I'm excited to see how these will look as I have never seen a set on a 1g. As for the seats, wouldn't it be a huge pain to get them to fit since the sliders and rails would have to be custom fit? Also are the 1g interiors big enough to fit those large recaros?

 

Nice find, I like those rims. A friend of mine has a 04 STI with the bronze BBS rims and he was parting those to me for 250, no nicks or scratches. I'd rather have the Evo rims like you got .
by the way, love the custom fade job. I got one my self, looks sick don't it. lol, that 1g will look clean with a fresh coat of black and those rims. Can't wait to see it.

 

I think they look SICK in flat black. If I was keeping my DSM, this is exactly what I would be going with. (Although a little more sidewall than in this picture.

Well... I finally got a hold of him.. He said he didn't have the rims anymore... Supposedly somebody stole them He said he was going to get me a set of GSX rims, he was going to give me $50 back and he was going to give me a carbon fiber spark plug cover.

 

LMAO, $200 for some GSX wheels (who even cares) and a carbon fiber plug cover (Probably fake) I would tell him you just want the $ back since he was obviously fucking you around.

 

Maybe you should stop dealing with scammers. So we don't have to hear you cry about it .

 

Lesson learned?

Don't give someone money until they are ready to put their parts in your face. I'd have told the guy I would follow him to go pick them up and if that was going to be a problem, "no thanks".
