Well
That looks pretty damn good.
Is there any test results (Dyno or Strip) somewhere or some info about the gains you get from these kits?
I am glad to see people haven't given up on NT's.

i know everyone one will hate me for saying this buttttttt...........

I, maybe you are too, am one for an all motor project monster.
the money you are spending for a top end kit, and a bottom end kit to possibly come near turbo gains seems pointless. you are spending approx 2200 bucks whereas if you were to spend about 2500 you could get boost. I dont know the different in HP and TQ (maybe someone can enlighten), but either way, I'm sure they are close.

Now, if you had the $$$ to get the turbos AND the kits, THAT would be F*CKING nice.

there is one thing that I wish-- and thats that someone would give me 5 grand and I could make one hell of a DSM.. ughhhhhh..

i too have been debating whether to get kits like this or get boost. what else can i say, so much shit to buy for our DSM's it's great. getting the $ is the problem. we can all dream right?

UMM the purpose of a rebuild is to make a engine
a stronger
b to rebuild it..

yea boost is nice but on a 420a you arent boosting over 10psi on stock internals

so many 420a guys boost and then rebuild the bottom end.

if you look at the AFX kits, they have turbo or all motor ones.

well the cams they have are nitrous, turbo street grind and drag.
so theres choices
and in the bottom end they have high and low comp pistons

its not like AFX is trying tobuild the all motor monster

check into things more b4 you try to boast the turbo dsm.. we all work with what we have

i wasn't pushing a turbo dsm, don't open an argument for no reason, thats exactly where i didnt want this thread to go. (like every other one)

and for all you know, maybe, just maybe, some people are out there trying to build all motor monsters. it's all a matter of opinion, let everyone have theirs.

and yes rebuilding your engine is great, i plan on doing it myself, i want to hold onto my N/T dsm (i just dont love my car for speed)

Does anybody have any ideas what HP range you would get from the top end and the bottom end kits together and/or seperatly on a stock 1g/2g? Just trying to figure out some math homework here for a 420a and a 4363.

Another thing is, with both of these kits..........if you had the HRC stage2 kit w/ FMIC, and a few more little things, you would pretty much have the stage5. Hell maybe more!
Maybe I need to do a little more homework................:D

the bottom end kit should just make the car stronger.. cept the pistons would help if you stayed all motor.

top end kit someone said about 25whp give or take.

i think you wont have all the fuel equip for a stage 5. im not sure because i havent looked into a stage 5

OK. Cool!
155 WHP from stock.
Now I think I have pretty much the most common of all the N/A bolt-ons, other than head work and intake mani. work. If these are the most common bolt-ons then what do you guys think the WHP will be with the Top and Bottom end kits and these basic bolt-ons? I know that bolt-ons on a NT don't give you a great number in HP, but I think that the more you do the more power each one will be able to give.

Like say, if a BTB gives 2HP by itself, well with an intake, exhaust, and header it might be able give you 3-4 HP by itself.

This isn't actually correct, it is just a shitty example of things working together to make each other work better and stronger.

What do you guys think?

I for one plan to do both of the new rebuild kits before i do a star stage II kit. Would this work and what kind of gains would i expect? and more importantly how much boost could i run?

well im not sure, but you can run 10psi on stock internals i wouldnt run 10 everday

since the bottom end is rebuilt you can prob run higher boost.. not all sure though. id ask some others who can stear you in the right direction
