Which one is better the N1 or the Power Extreme? Or am I overlooking something else. Im looking for some compares and contrasts here.

Exhaust

Go with TR&D its awesome, the sounds is nice and deep, not to loud at 70mph. Stomp on it and that honda will notice :)

Its not the bumble bee sound, Its much deeper.

You'll love it. It goes for about $525.00 - $550.00
And it's a 3" too :)

I just got the Apex N1 exhaust on my 2G GSX. Soundwise it's not to loud. I had the local muffler shop pressbent 2.5" with superturbo muffler, damn that was loud. The sound is deep and doesn't droan too much on the freeway. If it's too loud you could buy a silencer that fits in the tip for long drives when you don't want to hear your exhaust all day, but the silencer really hurts the exhaust flow. If you like the angeled tip look go for it.

What other mods do you have? I also just bought the N1 haven't put it on yet though. Are you having any trouble with your boost spiking now since you put on your exhaust? I've been told that that happens sometimes.

Awesome, anyone know about the Greddy PE. . . only reason I ask.. and not to dis on the TR&D, but they're selling some on dsmtrader for 250-350 and personally, don't want to spend 550 on the TR&D. Just don't got the cash flow, and want some other mods too!!!!!

The N1 really isn't that loud? I love the angle and better for straight flow!

Jayman you might want to look at the HRC or RRE UIC pipes. They come custom for the greddy type s and a lot cheaper than greddy! check out the sites

I think the pipes are under dsm parts, air/intake

you'll find it.
personally, im getting the HRC stage 1 and stage 2 upper

TR&D

Thermal Research and Development. IMO the best there is. Only downside of it is that its hella dough, $550. But, If your gonna do it. Do it right. :)

differences between the two exhausts... well the only one that i know or care about is that the N-1 uses an adapter to hook up to the stock cat, so you can upgrade to a 3" downpipe very easily later. the Greedy unit has to be hacked up to get a full 3" turbo back setup

I'd choose the N-1 over the GReddy PE. It exhaust routing is much straighter than the PE (better flow). You might consider the fact you might be scraping speed bumps since it will hang so low due to the staighter path.

IMO, I think the big-muffler look of the PE is kinda old school. The current style is the angled-muffler type. Also, the PE's piping starts from small (where it bolts to the stock cat) to bigger (after the first resonator), then bigger again after the second resonator. I don't think the N-1 even has a resonator at all, and the piping is a constant diameter (I think). If it's too loud for you, you can always plug the tip with the silencer and lose 5 hp. :)

Get the N-1 and the N-1 downpipe/test pipe too.

Yeah, I was having problems with boost spike. My other mods are:

Extreme MBC
Road Race Upper intercooler pipe
Intake
NKG spark plugs & magnecore wires
greedy BOV

I set the MBC to 16psi but I'm getting boost spike to 20.
I hit fuel cut for the first time after gunning in in third gear on the freeway on a cold day with the apex N1. I just lowered the mbc boost a little lower and haven't had any problems.

I will still be running stock boost at the time I install the catback do you think I will have to worry about spikes that high i.e. 20psi

If you haven't removed the boost control selenoid free mod, I woudn't worry about running to much boost since the selenoid restrictor keeps boost down. If you have the stock upper intercooler pipe on I wouldn't worry to much as it is also very restrictive. I have heard of people getting to much boost with UIP, intake and 3" exhaust an BCS free mod done and no boost controller. But you should get a boost gauge just to be safe.
