resarching for the best catback for the 1g. Now I want actually info or proof not oh it sounds good or anything. Want the best bang for the buck.

Now could only really find 2 catbacks(HKS is not full SS wich is not an option) those are the apexi and megan exhaust.

Now wich one performs better?? both are 3 inch but I hear the megan has a reducer in it causing it too be liek 2.5 in one part. also is the apexi system full SS?

IF anyone knows any other good catbacks that will out perform these let me know.

First off. Read rule #7, and please post in clear English, along with proper punctuation.

After that, I'd say just youtube the hell out of it, and you'll actually HEAR what you like, not what someone else likes.
Sorry for bad grammar I apolgize. Im not looking for best sounding but for best performing.

That completely depends on your set-up, and still after that, there is always a dispute. FOR THE MOST PART, A catback is a catback, and unless you have a serious set-up. Keeping that in mind, just go for what sounds pretty decent.

I wonder if Red has anything that can get rid of the muffler burns now.......
Ok, you gotta remember you're dealing with an old guy. Not that fast. I don't get it.

What are you burning on your muffler?

Oh and OP, Asking this question is like asking what is the bet TV? Remember for the most part a pipe is a pipe. As with most things size makes a difference. 3 will outflow 2 1/2, yada, yada, you get the idea.

I would suggest search and form your own opinion as this has been beaten like someone who owes you money.

Closing after I get my answer from Budd.

I'm here, as per your command Red!

Well, the Thermal is a 3" exhaust with a 4" tip. It was a tight fit, then the sounds and smells of bacon cooking made me back off.

Don't worry though gramps, I'm not too far behind you in age. I tuned your Rascal and put in 2 yellow tops. Have fun before your pacemaker battery craps out from over boost and over use.

I have the 3' Apexi N1 and it not only sounds good but its in great shape. Looks brand new outside of some light weathering on the flanges. If you can get an N1 for less then $550 i would grab it, i paid $600 and that was about 4 years ago.

For what its worth the N1 comes with a reducer ( never had to use it) and a ... uhm insert to quiet the muffler down if need be.

Ive had the Thermal R&D on my 1g, along with a muffler shop setup with with a magnaflow. This time, I went with a Megan racing downpipe + ebay exhaust. I also purchased a Blitz 3" in 4.5" tip muffler used from Jhot for 45 bucks. I polished it really really well, and had it taken to the exhaust shop and welded on cleanly. The MR downpipe was Total investment for the turbo back setup was 430 dollars after paying labor for the muffler, and I love it more than any setup Ive had thus far.

Anything that has the less bends will most likely flow the most. The two best are the ones you mention and the fitment is better than most. I would go with megan for the price. A cheap ebay downpipe and all you need to do is have someone weld up the test pipe.
