I am currently looking for the best external wastegate setup or the most effective one. I was looking at DSM Motorsports setup which is a stainless O2 housing with a Tial 40mm wastegate mounted on the side or the buschur setup which is an HKS mounted on a ported 2g exhaust manifold. I heard a few bad things about mounting the wastegate to the manifold because the weld itself and the metal of the manifold don't work well together which will cause it to crack and you will be re welding it every year. I like the DSM Moto. setup because it uses a stainless O2 housing which will flow more than the best ported EVO 3 housing you can find. I'll be running a BR 20G ported 2g exhaust manifold and a full buschur exhaust. I'm also going for a street setup so it's not an all out strip car. I was also looking at the setup to where you weld on a pipe to the #1 runner of the exhaust manifold and it goes around the front of the manifold to where you will attach the wastegate there. I just want to make sure I have a setup that will have somewhat of reliability.

Either way is fine, keep in mind that the W/G on the mani. will be much louder than on the O2 housing.

I chose to go with the EX. waste gate on the Manifold. I am running a BR20, ported 95 Manifold and HKS Ex. W/G. I never had any issues with the welds cracking. If it's done right, you will not have a problem. I had a buddy weld my W/G, Turns out he's a professional welder. Anyway, here is a pic. of my setup, if you have any questions you can PM me.

what is that oversized screw in your BOV? does that provide extra HP or will it make my car sound like the fast and the furious? if so, what is the home depot part number? what isle is that and what bin # ?
