I have dark tinted windows and stock reverse lights. I can't see SH*T.
Anyone have any recommendations for some really bright reverse lights?
I know they are 1156 bulbs.
My friend has led ones and they are not very bright at all.

You could always find a way to mount some driving lights of fog lights into the housing of the reverse lights and only have them come on via a relay. I was trying to figure out how I would get brighter reverse lights when I do the conversion from the 95 to the 97-99. This was the only solution I could come up with.

Honestly I have no idea what condition they are in. But I can tell you with my windows tinted so dark I can't see shit, so even if they were new it's not going to be that big of a difference where I can see 10000x better. IMO.

Actually I have one, but at certain parts of the day you can't see shit. I actually have it disconnected currently, haven't had time to re connect it.

High intensity 1156 bulbs have been available for a long time- I've used them in my CRX's for over ten years (same # bulb). Just added a pair to the DSM. If you can't find 'em anywhere else, try JC Whitney- they have 50watt bulbs available.

BTW, I recently installed a wired backup camera onto the license plate of my Spyder- visibility out the tiny rear window was a problem for my wife (5' 4"). For the display, I added a motorized single-DIN 7" video unit in the top slot of the double-DIN dash opening, moving my Pioneer head unit to the bottom. In that position, it easily clears the shifter knob as it slides out, then flips-up in front of the HVAC controls. Pretty neat- the camera outputs a 0-4 ft grid pattern on the screen display that gives a reference for what distance objects are behind the car. And when it isn't being used, there's no big, obvious screen to attract thieves. One thing I wish the backup camera had is an auto-iris. If you adjust the screen brightness down enough that the field of view doesn't wash-out during the day, the image is rather dark for at night. Which is why I just added the HE bulbs.

A friend of mine put one small PIAA fog light on the very bottom edge of his rear bumper to help him see through his tint at night.
