The motor will drop in, The problem is getting it to work correctly. You will need a tranny form the turbo model, ECU, wiring harness and many, many things for it to work correctly.

you don't need the tranny or the wiring harness. trust me on this one. a few quick mods and you can save big money and use your nt parts. i've done it others have to, its not impossible. the sticky on top of the nt forum tells you all the parts you'll need. the second list (what you're doing) is my list. so trust me on this.

i found a site that ships the motor with the tranny and most parts....so since i have an automatic, and they send me a 5 spd...all i need is the bracket and pedals along with the shift linkage?
well it'll most likely be an awd tranny so it won't do you a lot of good. the stock nt tranny will work perfectly fine. all you have to do use the nt flywheel and clutch.

have fun if you think it is that easy then why wouldn't people be doing it everywhere, trust me man sell your car and buy a turbo if you want one that bad

it is quite easy from what I have read and talked to people about. It is just very time consuming between finding and buying the parts and then putting everything together.

And more people have done it then you think.

[very broad generalization]Most of the people who have NTs are not that experienced in working on cars therefore are scared and intimidated by pulling the car apart to turbo-charge it. [/very broad generalization]

You may want to do what I am doing to my eclipse. I will be getting a 420 engine (2.0 engine N/T) and get a haln turbo kit and rebuild the engine. They you can drop it in one day. Then just sell you 420 engine. This is for a 2g

his car is a 1g so he'll either have to make his own turbo kit or install a 1g turbo engine.

i just wish someone would make a turbo kit for us n/t 1st gens i want turbo so damn bad but i wanna do it my self i dont wanna sell my car i think it would be cooler to turbocharge it my self

then just do it, i did. and others have followed in my path.

i have a 94 show car (all shaved and stuff) and it is a 1.8 n/a ...... i didnt want to start w/ a new car so i bought this guys 90 w/ a cyclone in it. i pulled my 1.8 and pulled ALL (i mean ALL) the wires. switched em back and forth. got the 1.8 to crank in the 90's body (formerly fwd turbo) all im lacking is to splice the headlights/tail-lights (pop-up lights and differnent connectors) and put on the heater hoses..... which ill finish when it stops raining here in texas.

then ill begin dropping the cyclone in my 94 show car
=)

-------- and yes, it is a stressfull pain in the butt.. im happy though
