About a week or so ago when I started my car and tried to give it a little rev, the RPM's immediatly dropped down, I tried it again and still the same thing! it was like this for a minute or so until it finally stopped, i drove it around and it was fine. Then the other day it started back up. same thing try to rev it or give it gas and the rpm's drop until finally after a minute ot so it goes back to normal. I was told it could possibly be my O2 senser? It only does it when the car is cold or sits for more then 8 hrs or so. The other thing is that now sometimes it wont start or i have to be on the gas to get it to... This is similar to when I lost my first ECU due to leaky caps. I checked this one, and there is no visible deterioration, but the faintest smell in the area of my first one. Tomorrow ill borrow another ECU that I kno is good to check that. But what could it be? 02, ECU???? FUEL clog?? I also have had a CEL lately but I think that due to venting... I dont kno how to approach this one, please give my your thoughts.
Thanks
Jon

why?

Why would I seach that when the car runs/ idles fine once its gets started and runs for a minute or so. I dont have a problem with the idle, its somethings fuel related, you can smell it when it starts, like it's dumping fuel and cant start since there is too much. OR its a clog in the fuel filter and takes a while for the particles or whatever to move and allow fuel to pass to the injectors, and once it finally does is when it runs fine. It does run fine when it runs for a minute or so you would have no idea anythings wrong.
thanks

Sorry Turboholic, i really do appreciate your advice.

I replaced the Fuel filter and the ECU, neither changed anything at all. I figure 2 more things, the gas pick up in the actual tank or the fuel pump? How would i kno if the fuel pump is going out? I have a friends 3k GT VR4 pump I can put in but how would I tell if my stock pump is bad. I kno it has to be fuel, or ...could it be the plugs?
thanks
