clutch engages higher as car is driven -then "restets" after sitting for a while

i have a 4 month old act 2600 clutch in the car. recently i've noticed this problem:
when i first get in the car the clutch engages when the pedal is VERY near the floor... and the longer i drive it the farther off the floor it engages until it is hardly engaging at all (about 1.5" from all the way up). also, if i launch the car then it moves the engaging up a good up (faster than it would have come up otherwise).

i bled the system -didn't fix it... i replaced the slave cylinder -didn't fix it... is it the master cylinder? i want to make sure before i replace it. how can i? or what else could it be?

thanks in advace

oh, btw, the car has no symptoms of crankwalk so dont even suggest that ;)

hehe, its always crankwalk, everything else is a result from that. lol

Seriously it probably is your master clutch cylinder. If you pump it repeatedly, then it builds more pressure, it is probably a leak in the mcc. It doesn't need to leak much at all. When you rebled it, did you get air bubbles out of it (if so, the mcc probably put them in there). Look for wetness on the inside of the firewall near the pushrod. Also look for it right on the pushrod itself.

sounds to me like you have an air bubble in your clutch line. if you know how to bleed it, do that - if not do a search and you should be able to find a thread that explains it or a link to a page that explains it. its pretty easy to do.
