I think he is asking about the entire engine, not just the intake. There is quite a bit of info on this if you do a search. It depends on what vehicle the engine came out of. If it came out of a VR4, it still has a 14B and 450cc injectors. If it came out of an EVO, it has a 16G and 510cc injectors. I believe this is the case. If I am wrong on any of that, someone please correct me. As far as the intake is conerned, the 1G manifold actually flows more than the Cyclone mani does (only like 3 cfm). So it really is not a very good upgrade if you have modded your car (as bo0oost said).

Don't waste your time or money on a cyclone motor. The 1G intake flows a little more. You also have the possibility of getting an auot motor froma GVR4 which has the 13G turbo and smaller cams, injectors. If you get an EVO motor you CANNOT put it into your 1G. There are only 2 motor mounts on the EVO motor on each side. Not on the front or back. It will not work. Like I said earlier don't waste your money. Rebuild what you have or find a motor from another car. I am an experienced customer from Cyclone motors and I got screwed. Got an automatic motor from GVR4 that was locked up and the place called J-SPEC where I purchased from will not warranty like they said they would. Be careful.

Wow man. I didn't know that about the Evo motors. I thought they would bolt right up to a 1G. Glad you posted, cause I was condiering this option when my engine croaks (hopefully a while).:D

Ok,.. To many people get the Galant, or "Cyclone" engine mixed up with the Evo engines. I've been to many junkyards in the land of the rising sun so I've seen most of the diffrent 4G63s the world has to offer. By far I do not know everything but this is what I do know:
1: If it has a "Cyclone intake manifold it is *NOT* from an EVO.

2:The GVR4s had at least 3 diffrent 4G63 turbo engines. All of them have red valve covers with "Mitsubishi" on them. Some (late) have the Cyclone intake and others have one similar to a 1G.

3:The Galant motors have13b, 14b,16g and big 16g turbos,450cc and 510cc injectors and have either 8.5:1 or 8.7:1 and *ALL* are 6 bolt blocks.

4:All EVOI/II/IIIs had no T/B elbow and dark silver/valve covers with "Mitsubishi" on them. They are not tapped for a US front motor mount. None of them have the Cyclone intake, the I/II are 6 bolt blocks that have have 8.7:1, and a 16g and large intake ports along with the Galants. The III has a big 16g, 9.0:1, 510cc, the small (US 2G) intake ports, and is a 7 bolt motor with no history of crankwalk :) EVOs IV and up have very, very, very little in common with your motor.

5:You *CAN* put an Evo motor in a 1G. I don't know who started the little rummor that it won't go in because it does. You can use your 1G rear mount. The front mount can be tossed if you have a good mount in the rear bracket.

If you have any questions, just ask and I'll try to get back with you. I'm going to Okinawa in Feb so let me know what you guys want ;)
