Hey,

I was wondering if the non turbo 4g63 block already has a hole for th e knock sensor or would it have to be drilled and tapped?

Thanks

To my understanding, the block has a "tab" so to speak where it would have normally been drilled and tapped from the factory. You still have to drill and tap it.

They have a spot but not the same one as the turbo. I forget how it is different, if the turob knock sensor is between 3 and 4 (cylinders) than it is between 1 and 2 on teh NT, or vice versa.

No, both the NT and the turbo blocks have those two "places" for a knock sensor. The NT block has the right place to put the sensor, but like imoore said it was never machined out when the block was produced. If the block is out of the car it shouldn't be that hard to do.
