maybe this is a dumb question...
I have an Eibach Pro-Kit sitting here right beside me, waiting to be installed tomorrow. (Want to do it myself...will be my first real "mod" for my car)

1.) Front springs: They are flattened on one end of the spring. This flattened side is going downwards right??

2.) Rear springs: The spring coils are closer together on one end than on the other end. Which end should go downwards??

Yes I have searched the forums but could only find a thread regarding B+G springs...

I put the same on my car (GST 95) and love them, good compromise between stability and performance. Best thing to do is buy a manual, Chilton's makes one (23.00 Autozone) and read. Get some spring compressors, and do one end of the car then the other. As you remove the stock springs you will get the idea of how to orient the Eibachs. Just remember to cut the bumpstops on the front only. The only problem with the springs is the rear sits a touch lower than the front. Good luck.

There is only one way they will fit front or back. You also don't have to use the spring compressors. I have done it more than once on a 2g without the compressor.

you really should use a compressor to get the fornt springs off, the rear you can get away with just standing on the top mount while removing the top nut. but the front supports alot of weight and you should use a compressor.

May not be safe, but I did my Eibach spring install without a compressor. Piece of cake. I was pissed that I spend the money on the compressor and then didn't even bother to use it. ;)

Get a 4 wheel alignment now. Unless you dont care about tire wear and other issues

THX but I have to do it anyway to get my "mod" TĂśV-certified....which I haven't done yet (neither the alignment, nor the TĂśV-certifcation)

Hi Guys,

Just want to find out if anyone knows. I have just installed pro-kit with KYB AGX and found out my rear right higher than rear left about (1/4 inch difference). The front looks very close. All drops for about 1 inch. Do I need an alignment or something?

Thanks,

Andrew

AWD4G63, you might try the rear camber kit from Road Race Engineering. It might help your problem. It has longer bolts and spacers and will correct up to 2 degrees of camber, perfect for the Eibach Pro kit. I have the SAME setup on my car, excellent products for the price. BTW, the camber correct kit is 40 bux. Worth it. They are on the web @ Roadraceengineering.com

Good luck

Yes Sir.

I believe so. I have talked to a couple of shop keepers lately and figured out camber angle may cause height of the wheel. A well aligned car should look even. Nothing much, I was very worried that I didn't install the shocks correctly cuz that is a just a tedious job. Anyways, it is solved. Thanks for all comments!

Take care,

Andrew
