Hey everyone, I have a couple questions about the ecu in my 95 gsx. I bought a chip off of a member on tooners, and being that my car has the EPROM ecu, what all entails getting the chip installed? Some people have said socketing the ecu and putting the chip in place. But what exactly does that mean? Then, I did more research, and can't I just take the EPROM chip out, and soldier the new chip in? Thanks for the help!

Oh, and a side note- my ecu has not been touched, completely stock 95 EPROM ecu.

You just need a socket installed.

So when I get a socket installed, the chip will just click into place where the socket is? Or is the actual chip the socket itself?
