I've been trying to start up my car for a while, everything is perfect but it just won't fire up. My buddy was looking at the Cam's and said it looks like you have two of the same cam. He said the dots are suppose to line up with another even when both dowel pins are pointed up the marks are lined up.

Here is a picture. Are the exhaust and intake cam suppose to be different? Mine look to be identical.

The one instance I would see it causing a problem would be on the 95's, which your profile says you have, and that is because the CAS is part of the intake cam gear. Unless there is a diferent style CAS wired in on the passenger side of the intake cam that could be the reason why your car isnt starting.

In normal situations it doesnt matter if someone used an intake cam gear on the exhaust side or the other way around. As long as the dowels are on top and all of the marks line up you are ok. It doesnt matter where the little white dot is because someone could have remarked it wrong.

Picture of an engine that has the camgear/CAS for a 95.
