I am swapping a 4g63 into a 2g, right now i am waiting to recieve my parts for a the engine bottom end up. I have a good idea of most of the parts i will need, i am not sure about the FMIC i have herd good things and bad things about vendors and makers. I am sure there are some threads about this but there are alot of threads to looks through... I just wanted to know what a good FMIC would be for my set up which should be putting out around 600+ hp?

SBR intercooler is awesome huge core, Great cooling.....

SBR does have some issues but everything is usually good with stuff they have in stock....

I got mine in 2 days...

had the SBR FMIC for two years and it worked great for me. The only reason im changing is im going with a custom all aluminum core and pipes.

But i liked SBR's setup very much.

Make the effort and read those threads. :wall: A lot of info. already in the forums. Threads like these just dilute the archives by repeating what has already been asked and answered 1,000X before. There's no spoon.

yep... got part of my order today the other parts are going to be shipped seperatly* or are on backorder.... not sure what this ment exactly but ok we'll see how things go and if i get some of the parts i have not recieved and paid for in the next couple days.

kk i will make more of an "effort" I just don't have time to sometimes i have alot of things be doing or am to tired to read on the pc screen i dunno.... i am mostly asking opinion ?'s though so it's w/e.

k that sounds fine to me, we'll find something that will cool my set up efficently. You should see what i got, half of it's not in original packaging? dunno if they buy in huge bulk or if i got returned opened stuff or what. As long as the parts work it doesn't matter i suppose. I just don't want anything craping out on me when i run my freshly built engine that i have invested time and $ into... I have a few ?'s for you though but i won't "dilute" this thread anymore.

that sounds familiar when i ordered my sbr fmic i asked if they had it in stock, the guy said they had plenty of them there and i asked again to make sure because i wanted it quickly. Well two weeks later when i called because i had not received it they told me they where having problems finding a full time welder and blah blah blah. They had not even started building it. :eek: . I understand shit happens but i fucken hate it when people lie to me. So i say :puke: :puke: SBR

Sounds like normal SBR business procedure to me. :rolleyes: I will never buy anything from them again, period.

yeah, i have the link somewhere for a good site that has meth inj kits. The spray for the intercooler will be nice too. Well on the trans rebuild i was wanting a few parts, does it take any special tools to rebuild a trans and put new gears, i wanted to probably do 1st-4th high friction synchros, 1st 2nd and 3rd 4th shift forks, a double synchro 2nd gearset, new shaft bearings, oil seals, magnetic drain plug, snap rings, roll pins, end nuts, bearing shims, and w/e else is supposed to get replaced on a rebuild, new hub & sleeves, stronger shift rails, probably go with a Speed Design 4 spider center diff as well, oh and a taller 5th gear. Is there some other stuff i need to do as well?

your tranny already has a double syncro second gear. I have all the tools needed to pull the bearings from the shafts and reinstall them. That is what holds the gears on. As far as everything else goes i would just get the basics for your setup, 4 spyder diff, hardened shift rails, steel forks, new bearings and syncro's. And run some syncromesh. This setup is plenty good enough for what ever you want to throw at it.
