I need some help with my fog lights. I need to change the bulb in one of them, but I can't get to the existing bulb. It's looks like the screws that hold the lense is a Torx stlye, but with a pin in the middle. Any help would be greatly appreicated. Thanks.

The whole fog light housing is held by one big phillip screw.Undo the screw to the black cover. Then you should be able to see the big phillips screw.Undo that and the housing should slide right out. Then you'll have to take the 4 screws out(you can use pliers at that point). The bulb is also screwed(grounded)on the inside.

I tried changing mine last night. First, take out the black plastic outer part. Then look for a bolt behind the upper right side of the housing. Unscrew that to pull out the whole housing. Then remove the screws from there. I couldn't do mine because the bolt in the back is stripped and I need to get a whole new housing cause my lens cracked and it's causing my lights to burn out. And that's $220 from the dealer, so I have to find a used one. BUT, if you look in your owner's manual it tells you exactly how to change the bulb and it shows pictures.

Ok this is getting frustrating. When I got the one big screw off I tried to pull the housing out. It wouldn't give and I didn't want to break it. I looked in behind the housing and there is 3 bolts. Do I need to remove those bolts to pull the housing out. I didn't think it was going to be this difficult just to change a bulb. Thanks for the info.

Once you get that big screw out all you have to do is wiggle the housing a little bit to the right(drivers side) or to the left(pass side), depending on which fog light you're trying to remove. After that big screw the only thing that's holding that housing in there are two metal prongs that are inserted into the housing bracket. Just really look under there and you'll see it. BTW you might wanna put some WD40 on the screws before you take them out coz chances are you'll strip them... Hope it helps.

Well I finally figured out how to get the fog lights off. Boy was it a bitch to do. And it wasn't any easier getting the bulb cover off. Man you'd think they use better quality screws. Anyways just thought I'd tell you'll that I actually had to undo three bolts per ligth to get the housing off. I tried just the big screw and that didn't do it. So if anyone else has a 97 that might be how you get the light off. Thanks again for the help.
