Fosgate Punch Dual Voice Coil Sub?

I recently purchased a single woofer. Rockford Fosgate Punch HE2. Dual Voice Coil.

I plan to hook up a Punch Amp 800 4 channel, bridge the rear and use 2 channels for front left and right.

Is this enough power to push the HE2?

Look at how many watts the woofer is rated for RMS and how many watts RMS that amp puts out when you bridge it.

If the wattage out of the amp is very close to what the woofer is rated at you are all good. If the wattage is far too high or far too low you are going to run into problems with blowing the speaker and/or distortion, respectively.

Looking at a Punch 450.4

Specs:
Total Power: 450 Watts
Rated Power: 60 W x 4 @ 4 Ohms RMS
Rated Power: 110 W x 4 @ 2 Ohms RMS
Rated Power: 225 W x 2 @ 4 Ohms bridged RMS

My woof is 4 ohms. Does this look too low since I need to have 2 channels to operate my fronts. Rear would be bridged (woof).

Woofer Specs:
Power range 100-400 watts RMS (200 watts per voice coil)
peak power 800 watts

Your sub is dual 4 ohm. You can either wire it at 8 ohms or 2 ohms. You can't wire it to 2 ohms and then bridge because your amp will run at 1 ohm, which it is not stable at.. I suggest wiring it at 8ohm, and then briding the two channels to bring it down to 4 ohms..

Stupid phone would not let me edit my previous post. You can do what was stated above me. The amp will only see 8 ohm. When you bridge the amp it doesn't change the ohm load but it will "act" like it did and will output the 225w described at 4 ohm.

... so the 450 4 channel Amp will suffice? But I will lose the ability to hook up my front speakers to this amp. If I understand correctly, then I will need a separate Amp to push the front Speakers. Correct?

How about the original 800 4 channel Amp?

The amp you have is fine. If it were me i'd run the rears off the deck and run the fronts of the front channels on amp, and bridge the other two channels to run the subs.

Ok, kinda getting it. I looked at the DVC wiring chart and it said it can only run at 2 ohms. Weird as I thought you could just hook up each voice coil separate and maintain the 4 ohms. So freaking confusing.

My Front Speakers are Polk dxi460p's and are 4 ohms. How does one get this configuration to work with a single amp? Am I better off just running 2 amps?

sorry, I'm a noob here and the new stuff ain't my forte'. hence the noob questions. i quoted the 2 ohm directly from the rockford manual on the HE2 I will be running. says nada about 8 ohms.

anyways, after looking and researching "and" reading the answers here. i decided on just going with a 5 channel amp. i like the specs coming from a PPI i am looking at:

4 ohm: 50x4, 200x1
2 ohm: 100x4, 400x1
