Ok Normally I wouldnt even consider this a kill but the outcome was damn funny, So i was just cruzin along on the local streets of beafort sc came up on a silver s2000 and started slowing down for the upcomming light, well as i down shifted into 1st the light turned green so i slowly took off, well i guess the s2000 saw me and took off, i was like no, no hondah is going home thinking just becasue he took off he beat a dsm. So i punch it shift 2nd, granny 3rd and he was way back there. So anyway, who cares a s2000, what a joke, the reason i posted this is because what i see next, at the next light i turn and they go straight and who do i see driving.....a midleaged woman. I started rolling, I guess shes going through a midlife crisis or somthing. Anyway thought that was funny. That thing was five speed to, had an exhaust, i dont no what else, wasnt really paying attention.

Please undstand, im not bragging about ahy kill here, We all no how slow those things are, its just funny, to see somone like my mom trying to race......lol

Come to Ct if you wanna get beat by my buddies S2k ;)
If you're on a stock turbo though - which by your profile it appears you are - she wasn't racing or wasn't a very good driver because she probably would've pulled on you. I've driven a stock one and it wasn't by any means fast, but it wasn't slow. Quicker than a T25 2G though ;).

hahah. One time coming home from skipping class, there was an old black lady in a del slo that I got like 4 stop lights with and I noticed she redlined every gear and went WOT, so I raced her at the last light. pretty funny, but an s2000? It's probably her son's car and she took it from him

Those old women are deceptive, I tell ya. I saw one at E-town a few years back. I thought she was there to see her husband, or son, or grandson. Quite a sight to see this old lady strap on a helmet, step into her Grand National and pull a mid-12 before going back to the pits and crash out for the rest of the day.

S2000 what a joke car. I would drive one for a DD/autocross car but never for straight performance. It's like "yea I bought I/H/E and I dynoed 2 hp more."

Hey man all the Honda kids do love to talk about how it's the best motor ever because of the HP/Comparison. They never mention the TQ/Liter...that car makes no TQ. If I launch a car at 4k and it bogs like hell there has to be something wrong there....;)

I hate it when people challenge others with their friends car, it is sooooo gay.

my good friend has a 2g, intake/full exhuast/plugs wires, my other good friend has a stock s2k, the s2k always gets the jump, but the talon catches up to him and slowly passes him. talon was runnin like 14psi i think.

i walked on the same s2k on just the wastegate which is like 11psi

s2k's are not fast at all, they are a blast to drive though.

Hmm so stock for stock, 14psi 1g vs a S2k, who would win of course from a dig and with same driving skills.

Well duh they aren't slow. They can pull off 13.9's in the quarter stock. But the reason why i didn't get one was because i kept reading that if you do intake/exhaust mods then there is a 90% chance that you will actually lose hp. Unless you get like Mugen or the really top end crap. Like HKS and Greddy actually don't gain anything because those cars are already built to the max from Honda only way you will make power is with power adder as in nitrous, supercharger,or turbo it. And i'm just curious what are your mods? S2k's are more for drift/autocross. They drive incredibly almost as good as a FD. And that 9k redline is fun too.

Don't be dissin' on Mom's racing. I remember when I was about 12, my Mom was driving our '63 Impala SS 409 4spd and got challenged at a light by a hopped up '55 chev. Needless to say she smoked 'em. The woman can drive STILL. I think that hooked me on racing and I've been doing it well for 30+ years now.

Depending on the year, I'd say prior to 2003 a stock s2000 could be beat by a bolt on(ICP,BOV) 2g.

2004 and up can go high 13's stock if my memory serves me correctly.
The older models didnt have any torque and when I drove a 2001 I felt like it was barely pushing itself along.

The older ones were better even though they had less torque. 2001 is when it had the 9000 rev limit. I've driven a 2004 and a 2001 and I preferred the 2001 even though it had shit for torque. Even with it's shit torque I'd see it beating a BPU 2G.

You have to be a really good driver to be able to get a high 13 out of an s2k.. And no they arent for drifting (the rear diff and rack and pinion keep it from this).. More for road racing and autocross..

Id rather have the 00-03 s2k over the 04+.. Even though the 04+ have more torque (the reason is .2L more), id rather have the higher redline..
