This is my 4th DSM and the one I have owned the longest at this point. Bought the car in 2000 and swapped a few of my old left over mods onto the car right away. I modded it to it's current point between 2000 and about 03/04. I set some goals out for the car early on and once I hit those goals I called the car done and just drive it and enjoy it. It is now my daily driver again as I work on a new project.

The car uses a pretty basic setup and I tried to improve all aspects of the car evenly over the years. I have addressed braking, suspension, power, and exterior.

Quick mods list on the car;

Power
-FP Green
-2G head with 1mm oversized valves
-HKS 272 I/E Cams
-3" turboback exhaust with a Thermal muffler
-tubular FP O2 housing with a Tial 40mm wastegate bolted to it
-K$N Intake
-JM Fabrications intercooler pipes and an Apex'i Sylvia core
-IPO Propane injection kit
-Greddy Type S BOV
-Denso 660cc injectors
-Aeromotive regulator
-Walbro 255lph pump (hardwired)

Drivetrain
-ACT 2600# kit. This clutch has held up incredibly. It has close to 50k on it and still holds great.
-Exteme short shift kit
-home made shifter bushings

Brakes
-TCE Wilwood front brake setup. 12.5" rotors with Wilwood BSL6 6 piston calipers
-SS brake lines

Exterior
-Blitz low side skirts
-AutoCarisma Street Fighter front bumper
-VIS carbon fiber Invade hood
-Sparco hood pins
-35% window tint
-Kyowa KR228 18" rims wrapped in 235mm Kumho MXs

Suspension
-Eibach Pro-kit lowering springs
-KYB AGX struts
-RM Racing sway bars
-Ebay front and rear strut tower bars

Electronics/Monitoring
-DSMLink
-HKS turbo timer
-Autometer boost and EGT gauges

Misc
-JM Fabrications harness bar
-ProCar 2000 racing seats
-Momo 4pt harnesses
-rear seat delete with custom carpeted panels to keep it clean

That's about it. I set out to break 120 on pump gas, make 400 at the wheels and still remain quiet, comfortable, and squeak free. Mission accomplished. The car is dead reliable, has an ok stereo, is not overly harsh and is a pleasure to drive to work everyday.

Unfortunately my old image host crashed and I suffered a HD failure so I only have 2 pictures of my talon. Kinda sad as I had probably 50 at one point.

Mint ride Greenstreak. Everything looks great:)
Although, ill be honest with you, im not a big fan of the front bumper.:p But i dont mind the sideskirts or the hood.
But one question, now that your running low 12's...don't you ever get tempted to catch an 11 sec. timeslip (Even if its an 11.99)...jus for braggin rights :)

Nah, not really. I am not a big fan of drag racing and typically only go once per year when the local DSM club goes. At one time I enjoyed it much more than I do now. I am becoming more of a autoX road racing kind of car guy over the last few years.

Hehe, not much to say about it. I never bothered to take a picture of it either. It was out before B&M had them and Extreme doesn't even make it anymore. I loved it though and it was pulled out of my FWD and put into this car while still on the dealers lot.

Perfect look on the body kit. Kept the godly aftermarket bodykit rear end off and kept the side skirts simple along with the front bumper.

I also really like those wheel. Fit the car perfect.

I don't have any underhood shots anymore. Not that it matters as it looks no different than any other 4G63 under there. ;) I'm not much for underhood bling so there is nothing polished, nothing fancy, and it is not even very clean usually. It all works and that is all I ask of it. :D

a quick question. iv seen those two stripes on the car before on other cars. is there a meaning to it or is it just a cool little thing people do?

Nope, they don't mean anything. I tried it out back in 95 on my first DSM and liked it. I have done it to all of them since with different colors. What is funny is that when I see my old cars around they still have the stripes. One has been through a few owners and he found me at a gas station. I forget the wording but in essence he told me I had the same stripes he had. I then told him I put them on the car about 10 years ago. :D
