im in ABQ....and im not sure what numbers i have cuz here in New Mexico we dont have a AWD dyno...but im gonna go to the track this spring and try and figure it out. Ya i really like the tune as well and im about to turn it up so ill be posting more kills hopefully

Alright, finally someone knows the joy of stopping these so called awesome machines! sunday night while driving on a local street I had an rsx-s fly up on my A** and then proceed to pull up next to me at the next light. So, he rolls down the window and asks if my car is turboed? "no". so he proceeds to talk about how my car is a chick car then rev his engine! Alright, I'll kick your A** with this chick car! So after some revving the light turns green, the torque kicks in and at about an 1/8 mile I'm about 2 car lengths ahead of him and still pulling at about 80! I slow down, look over at him, and not one look or smart A** remark from the little SH*T stain!

I have smoked about 3 rsx-s before I leave 2nd I already have 2 1/2 cars on them....wtf. On the freeway it is a little different. I walked him much more but his car showed a little more of a fight because of 6th gear. Either way I only know of one quick all motor one that my friend has been building since high school. He runs 12.8 @? but for a Honda that looks stock Thats good shit.

It is very easily to clear up. They look at HP only. Their car stock put close to 200 hp at the flywheel. Ours anywhere from 190-210 HP at the flywheel.
They only know that our cars are heavy as hell and that all the H cars at the track that run 10's are all street legal. They forget that they are torqless, most DSMs are not stock, those 10 second cars have more money wrapped in them than most peoples mortgage and 1,000 dollars for us goes along way when it comes to HP and Torq .

 

if you talked to a honda guy, all day he'll talk about hondas and the top of the line k20 motor from the rsx how they are so fast. and nice kill there. those rsx don't stand a chance

there not. 14.7-14.8 second car. thats about all they are. i believe the '06s are a bit quicker, but thats about it.

ya we all know they arent quick but i guess they feel a need to say it...oh well it doesnt really matter i let them talk ....and there will be more kill posts from me for sure...getting ready to make about 5g's in a month and i have a couple different routes planned lol....ill let everyone know which one i pick .

 

Ya, They're not as impressive as the Honda enthusiast make them to be. At least it's a "fairly" decent car to run against if your in the 14's. Hell it's better to beat an RSX then some little 96hp Civic.

im running a small 16g with an injen intake, 3" Thermal exhaust, 650cc injectors, 255lph fuel pump, ACT 2600 clutch with streelite flywheel, FMIC, Turbo XS RFL BOV, Greddy E-manage. I think thats it for performance lol...i dont always remember everything.

 

I am telling you though that we will eventually find a RSX-S that is going to give us a run for our money....like my friends...but like someone said earilier. (It will be nearly as exspensive to a mortgage)

 

There is a group of people that roll around Denver, Colorado. They all have stickers on the back that say v8 eater! They run high 10s and every one is an RSX-S.. They are all turbo-charged with the Type R spoiler. Sickest RSX-S i've ever seen. I raced one and got hammered!

The rsx is not a cheap car to mod to a high level, but at boost the k20a2 motor is a fairly durable and makes some high numbers. 300-350hp on a stock block is common and tolerable under boost. Due to the high compression though it is not stable over those levels, honda's are made for N/A. This RSX may have given a decent fight and lost, i'd like to see video of a turbo rsx vs. dsm.

This same friend I mentioned w/ the all motor RSX-S used to have a Greddy Turbo kit on there and he was pushing about 310hp but traction was a major issue all the way through third hence the decision to go back to motor...

The chance of finding one is slim because they still have car payments. We can find more EK and EG that will give us a run for our money before we find a RSX. Remember though there are more street driven DSM in the 12 and 11 than any RSX or Hondas combined. Here is a question for anyone on this board. How many people do you know who owns a DSM that runs 12-11 sec 1320's? Now here is one for anyone on this board and any RSX club members. How many RSX owners do you know that runs 12-11 sec 1320?
I thought so ! DSM are still the best bang for the buck.
