My car is an automatic gst and its stock and i lost to my friends 94 Integra LS with a built b20 non vtec head port and polished , cams, i/h/e msd and stage 2 clutch. I took him off the line by about 1 car and he started pulling in 2nd gear and by 3rd gear he was pulling hard. Then i felt my car stop accelerating and he just flew by and beat me by about 1 car lengths. I was on his back bumper when he shut it down. My question is what are some mods i can do to beat him? Its kind of embarassing for me to lose like to that a Integra...Anyways all replies are welcome thanks.

well auto can have it's perks (stall converter, no shifting = constistent times, less drivetrain breakage) but it is a fwd auto, so you are basically fucked..you can have fun till the low 14s though till you spin all over the place..

to beat the integra just do k&n/ 190rewired/ boost controller=gauge. you'll kill him then and spin alot:D

Do some free mods, intake, exhaust and a boost controller you'll spank him

DSMers typically use it just for spool up but NOS would be ok.

A 50-80 or even 100 shot across powerband after you have started moving. I'd wait unitll the suspension starts to settle. You could get a used system cheap. If it is a wet system you should be ok. I'd prefer AWD and a big turbo but in your case on your car it could do some good. The pistons in our motors have thicker tops, better top piston rings and better top ring placement because their turbo engines. Realistically the top ring should be where most NT rings are for max efficiency but they live longer on turbo motors if the are down farther on the piston.

That being said a good sensibly and well tuned WET NOS system is more at home on our engines than a honda with stock internals. Their factory sleeves blow (literally) and their pistons are really thin and light for efficiency. I would'nt use much NOS or it at all on a good size turbo. I'd just use a 50 shot for spoolup.

Case in point FP 3065 on the times list under 10sec beating lots of other cars with the silly gas.

But with a low pressure (factory) turbo a moderate nos level 25-50 with fuel should'nt hurt anything.

50-100 maybe 125-150 could be had as well. This may involve some timing control issues.

The first thing I'd so is exhaust from the downpipe back, intake, a 1g bov and a boost controler. Maybe just pull the BCS restrictor for now.

You can always put smaller jets in and use it for a spool aid later.

Be sure to include a flow map, lag data and how you vent to the atmosphere.
