It is a totally different intake system that eliminates the restrictive oem MAS. I don't know much more about them , as I'm not part of the "VPC camp." IMHO, the 2g MAS does quite well, unmodified.

Yes it can, it can also be used with your stock injectors to fine tune the fuel curve. It is basically an Air Flow Converter (AFC.) That means it intercepts the MAS' airflow signal and changes it, by a %, to what you program it, then sends "your" signal to the ECU. The ECU then "sees" more or less air and opens the injectors the appropriate amount of time. This is best determined by whether you are seeing knock/timing advance, or not, with a logger.
