I've seen tons of documentation for setting the idle on turbos with the BISS.

My car is experiencing idle problems and I can't figure out how to fix it. (stalling at stops)

Tons of people said they have fixed it by adjusting the BISS. BUT from what I hear/have seen, my car doesn't have a BISS.

Can someone point me to a good procedure to set the idle on my 2g NT?

thanks

You have a 2G dsm, that means you have the 420A motor in it (not the 4g63) so i.e. you do not have a BISS screw. The idle in your car is controlled electronically and so can be changed electronically. I personally do not know how to do this, but if you know some one knowledgable of the 420A I'm sure they could tell you.

Hope that helps somewhat.;)

yeap what goblin said, we got fucked out of the biss screw. unplug your battery cable, see if it works. otherwise, do a tune-up, change fuel filter and....umm what else? cant remember. my car used to stall, dont really know what fixed it.

as said before we can't take a screwdriver or a wrench and change our idle. Try the tune up and one thing to check is the EGR valve that will screw your idle up in a heart beat

EGR is exhaust gas recirculator it takes a portion of your exhaust and puts it back into your intake manifold buring the pollutants from the exhaust a second time giving the car cleaner emmissions. Personally I think it is a POS gimmik. Your EGR should be a tube that connects to your intake manifold or TB somewhere. Again I'm not sure of the particulars because I've no experience with the 420A. Perhaps Vfaq.com might have something on it but I'm not sure. I'd say your best bet is a search or someone who knows about 2g NA's. Hope that helps a little. ;)
