i just painted my bumper at about 3p with black enamel (rattlecan). it seems kinda hard right now but i know with rustoleum it takes a long time to truely harden. so since its nearing 6p, could i wetsand it now with about 1000 grit?

why not, i have a fender done already, it actually doesnt look that bad. by no means is it near professional quality, but its alot better than the chipping paint thats on it now. besides, i dont have the means to afford the proper equipment.

no real reason, i'm just used to using it i guess. didnt know it was really a bad thing to use enamel. so far its going on well, and i dont plan on throwing on a clear coat because rattlecan cc just fades. the only bad thing i guess is that it scratches alot easier.

btw i shoulda seen what you said about waiting earlier, i just waited about 4 hrs and wet sanded it & painted it again, tomorrow i'll throw some pics up if i remember, doesnt look too bad imo

You can go to most paint shops and get almost any color mixed in a spray can, where I live it's like $12.00 a can. And if you decide to use c/c just take the time and put multiple cotes on it. It'll come out just fine, just make sure it's dry.

It actually might take more than a day to dry depending on weather conditions. No one can tell you an exact time when it can be sanded, but just base it on feel.

If it's still tacky then obviously don't. If you dig at it a little with your fingernail and it seems hard, then try lightly sanding it
