I just bought the window trim that goes on both the driver
and passenger doors. I removed the two plastic pieces on the outer end near the handle but I am not sure what to do next?? The trim piece is the one that the paint always chips off and looks crappy.Any help???

I just did the same thing two months ago. After you remove the black plug on the end of the door, just pry the trim piece up. I actually ended up bending the passenger side strip as I removed it (it was a piece of crap anyhow). Just keep prying it up until you get it loose all the way to the mirror. Then just pull straight out on it. When you go to put the new ones in, start at the mirror and work back to the end of the door. Once you have the old strip out you will see the clips down in the door that hold it. Make sure that they are not damaged or bent. I tapped the new strip back in using the heel of my hand. The new strips will be real tight against you windows for awhile too causing them to open and close slowly.

Are you guys talking about that trim on the outside of the car that is just below the window? (drv & pas) Because I need some new one too, cause its all faded and nasty, and you can see the silver metal underneith. Aweful!

mine looks like factory-fresh pieces, and matches the rest of the trim perfectly, and I paid $6 total... krylon gas-grill paint, 220 grit sandpaper, and a razor blade scraper. I put on 12 coats of paint, and it holds up well to chipping. I'm a cheapass though.
