I just got an HX35 in the mail, and I want to clean up the blades. How do I remove the compressor housing so I can do so? There is a metal ring holding the housing on, with 2 holes, and 2 tabs. Do I need a special tool to do this, or should I put it in a vice? thanks.

Vice no. Provide pictures.

All it is, is a compression clamp, use some pliers, should work. An old clamp at that, never seen one like that lol.

That is effin sweet! No need for compression ring pliers there:). Just a good ol set of pliers. Might as well replace the seal thats in there while you're at it. Or a nice little bead of rtv/gasket stuff.
