i was checking out the "left column" and i need a new turbo anyways and it showed 16g's for about $500 or so.

this one is $490

Already have a 7cm2 turbine housing, or just want to drop a Big 16G into your 6cm2 14B turbine housing? Save yourself some cash and pick up a Big 16G, wastegate actuator included, with no turbine housing.

and this is $665

Original equipment for the Lancer EVO III in Japan, the TD05H Big 16G is rated at 350hp. The Big 16G comes internally gated, and is equipped with a 7cm2 turbine housing.

both are 16gs. what should i do?

I've seen just the compressor housings going for right aroudn 375-400. You can do that and you will notice a nice gain in power, but the top end will not be aided as much. If you've got the money, I'd say go for the 7 cm housing b/c you are going ot end up upgrading in the long-run.

i have the 16g with the 7cm housing. great increase in power. i can only imagine what bigger would feel like. spend the extra money on the 7cm. go get a used one. i got my entire turbo for 300 ( 16g w/ the 7cm housing!)

a 6cm housing will develop cracks on a 16g. Look at the number of 6cm housings that get cracked quite bad from a 14b. Putting a 6cm housing on a 16g will only make it crack easier/faster/worse.
