But this is a serious question.
I am having problems locating someone (searched through Google and eBay) who makes a braket so I can buy a filter and drive my damn car. The bracket I currently have is metal and is ~ 4 1/4" and I can't seem to find something which will work with it.
Now i've looked on K&Ns website at something like this:
http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=RP-5167
or
http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=RU-5061
I'll have to go home and measure and make sure I have enough room for the filter to fit. The ID of the filter flange is 4.25 inches on the first one. The second one is 4.375. Sucks though, as I know K&N filters are expensive. I'll take a good measurement of the actual diameter of the adapter I have and see if one of the above works.
If not for whatever reason (too expensive, doesn't fit, etc) I found this on eBay:
Bracket and filter
Anyone know where I can just get a simple bracket, preferably metal, so I can just go to the parts store and buy their brand of filter and save some money? I didn't know this was going to be difficult...
