I posted a thread that nobody replied to and I guess I should have waited. Because I majorly Fu*^ed up. I thought the speedo needle might have threads on it so I start to unwind it in a sense???? I then see that there is a little freakin spring that is wound up to keep proper tension on the neddle. I messed it up BIG time. It has no tension now and probally not work. If you have any suggestions than please write something. I guess when installing the guages you just lay them over the old ones??? I have no instructions and a little confused??

Sounds like you really fucked up your speedo and I think you're screwed. When removing the needles I think you're just supposed to pull them straight off. For the gauges, it depends on what kind they are. I've seen gauges that just lay on top of the stock ones, and there are also gauges where you are supposed to remove the stock gauges first.

:scholar: The reason no one is answering your questions is because this topic has been discussed many times. If you would do a search you would have gotten all the help you would need and you probably would not have fucked up your needles. Also posting the same question in 4 different threads will just piss people off and they will ignore it even if they know the answer to your question. That is all, class dismissed.

well if you really screwed up your speedo, just go buy another one.

There's a 95 GSX in Chicago that is parting out.
I took the gas and oil pressure gauge from it (mines were messed up by previous owner with indiglos) and left the tach and speedo. Try looking in the classified sections in the Sun Times.
The guy is very cool.

PM if the ad is not up anymore and I'll give you his phone number.
