So first off, I'm a bit unfamiliar with this subject. My first question, is it something that I need to have on my car? If yes, how do I install it on my 1g eagle talon - tsi?

I've read up on it a little bit, and from what I've found out, I'm guessing its just a tool that just reads boost pressures in the intake?

I have the full package, V3 ecm link and I've seen video's of the 3.5 bar hooking up to the V3 ecm link, but I'm not entirely sure how to tap it into the system... How would I wire it up?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Sean.

It is used when using Speed Density for measuring the air your motor is taking in, instead of a mas/maf set up. Along with the MAP sensor you would need an AIT sensor and then to wire them in then tune for it. Do you know about or are planning on running speed density?

I don't really know much about speed density to be honest with you.. I'm going to have a 3.5 inch gm sensor, with the V3 ecm link if that answers your question about the maf. The stock maft sensor is gone completely.

I guess what I'm wanting to figure out, is if its really necessary for me to have? The pro's and con's

Sry, these are probably stupid questions. Figured this would be the best place for me to go to, get familiar with it.

If you're going to be using the GM MAF then unless you have an AEM boost gauge or boost controller or some other device needing to meter boost you shouldn't need it.
