i didnt know they made JDM cold air intakes for dsm's

 

well i boght it on ebay like 1 week ago it cost me like 70 bucks and on the add its says that all mitsubish fromm 95-99 gst,gsx tubo models can used them..

 

well thats what i saw on ebay or maybe they played me

 

so is that the apropriate intake for a eclipse gst turbo ????

yes i plug the maf back in and all the hoes where they supposed to be

 

oh i got a friend the also has the same car as me its an eclipse gst 95 turbo and he istalled his bov with the intercooler kit and he say it doesnt give him any problem , and you know what he said to that me fuel filter has tu be changed and his fuel fielter has not been change well he doesnt know nothing because when i had my stock intake and stock bov it didnt gave me any problems at all . can you help me ???/

 

check for a boost leak.

 

Why don't you put your stock intake and BOV back on and see if the problem persists? It could just be a coincidence that something else went bad at the same time you did the work.

Also, do you have a link to the ebay intake that you bought so we can see what exactly you have?

 

check ur plugs, when I had bad plugs and put a new intake on it did the same thing.. replaced them and it was fine

 

hey i got the information but you have to go on ebay en sherch for Eclipse GST Turbo Air Intake and its going to be the one that has the blue intake with it ok se hit me back when you found it.

 

oh and when i installed the stock bov and intake pipe theres no problem .

 

joshinPA i allready changed the plugs before i installed the cold air intake and the bov, oh and i did change the cables too.

 

mattsmall i dont know how to do a boost leak check im new in the dsm world and its my first car though but im familiar with some stuff im sorry about that boys an girls.

 

Try adjusting your BOV. It may be causing your turbo to surge. are you in the stock t25?

 

well it almost all to the left and i belive that theres like 3 threads showing, and the problem is still there

 

and yes im in the stock t25 turbo .

well i dont know what might be the problem.but i do know when i had my cold air intake pipe on it it did the same thing. but then i took off the cold air intake pipe and installed the stock pipe, and then the problem went away.then i bought the greedy bov type s with the flange adaptor for the stock intercooler pipe for the 2g eclipse, and when i was done installing that bov when i took it for a spin it did the same thing ,first i tried to adjust it hard,then i adujst it to soft , and then in between and it still does the jerking. pease im concern help me please !!

So, you installed a intake pipe and the problem started. You then replaced it with the stock piece and the problem went away. At this point you bought a Type-S and installed that, the problem came back. So what is on your car right now?

Just for some future info, the "ebay knock-offs" are utter garbage. Save and by a REAL Greddy Type-S BOV.

Ebay's only good for little things non-performance-wise, unless it is a used/new part that IS real.

For example; headlights, bulbs, clusters, mufflers, etc...are okay to buy from there.

But stuff like turbo's, BOV's and more "technical items arn't such great purchases on ebay since 99% of them are knock-off's.

For an example; My buddy bought a AFPR for his car. And well the regulator "pooped-out" on him and caused his car to run so lean that it ruined his motor.

you just gotta be carefull what you buy off of ebay...

In my opinion, ut all of your stuff that you repalced abck on and see if your problem presist...
