okay i dont know what happaned but heres the story again

i was driving home today and i spot this blue riced out 90-03ish integra, he revs so im like oh ya lets do it, i need a kill since my cars been running for 2 days now (t-belt broke, long fix, u know the usual) anyways i stomp on it and so does he, he starts to pull hard and get me by 2 cars up to 70 (we started at about 30) i was like wtf? so i say lets go to the race street and go from a stop, so we did, i launched pretty good got about 2 cars on him than all of a sudden at about 45-50mph this thing pulls on me and keeps pulling, i mean he demolished me bad, i was like damn dude what did u do to it, he starts to giggle and says full built ls vtec with a 50 shot, wel that explains it, but could a 50 shot of nos make that big of a difference?

peace

I wouldn't go calling them beasts but yeah, they can be quick. I wouldn't be ashamed at losing to it thats for sure.
ya im not, but i know i can kill him as soon as my dejon UIP comes in with my greedy type s, (no more boost leak) put the boost up to about 15-16 psi (is that the most i can get outta the 14b, i did the fuel rewire and im getting an evo exhaust manni)

whew.......got waxed huh? well what are your modds dude, cause those ls/vtec combos can be very quick rides, i had an encounter with one and he almost taught me a lesson in 4th gear but i held him off, so if you are lightly modded with a stock turbo i can see him putting one to you. Fill us in on your modds bro.

I've been racing a civic si vtec with every bolt on imaginable and a 75 shot of NOS. I have raced him 4 times and walked him everytime in my VR6 w/ CAI, chip, and a slightly modified exhaust.

basically those vtecs are all about the driver in my opinion.

Yeah, those 14 second cars are sure 'beasts'
Well to a almost stock Turbo DSM it is a beast. Good point though man.. Ill race Cari and tell you guys the result ;)

cari - fully built 99 teg type r with s/c at 6-8psi. Body kits, wings, etc etc.. He pulled a 12.8 on slciks.. We will see how he does though.. :-D

My friend with a 1992 Integra is in the process of breaking in his motor (LS/VTEC) and it should be pretty quick. Of course he will be using stage 2 skunkwork cams, Hondata and the other misc. stuff like injectors, ported head, etc. Only problem is that they need to be lightened up since they are heavy compared to hb's which are the more common cars that motors are swapped into. Car should be a low 13's sec car with those mods.

Advice for some of you guys, if your about even in speed with an all-motor car don't let them catch you in their powerband. Some of those guys can go up to 10k rpm with no problems while you need to shift at 7k or just a tad under it. Get THEM IN YOUR POWERBAND. hehe :p

This is my friends shop in Houston that does all-motor work.

Integra

hehe.... LS/VTECs are nice.... by the way hello everyone i know this might not be the right thread for this but your on the subject of integras... ive got an integra with a b20/vtec swap which is basically the 2.0 liter block off the Honda CRV and a head off a Civic Si.... they make a little more power & torque then an ls/vtec... anyway im here to ask a little advice.. im gonna be selling my integra soon and i really like the idea of the awd turbo.. + eclipses are nice lookings cars... would all of you recommend a manual GSX? im interested in what mods can do for these dsms ive heard that simple intake, exhaust and some kind of boost control does alot for them... sorry if ive annoying you all... anyway... do dsms with stock turbos really have problems with ls/vtecs?...:D

YES! Do not get an auto GSX, gotta feel a true AWD launch + you want the bigger turbo and injectors! :) Were you thinking of getting a 2G ('95-'99 models) or a 1G ('90-'94 models) ? My quick pro/con list of each model:

1G: Major Pros: No crankwalk (search for it) and better turbo + BOV
Major Cons: Umm well, cant seem to think of a mechanical con for ya (besides the fact that its an older car and will most likely have more miles + more repairs needed). But I personally prefer the look of the 2G wayyy more, plus the 2G will you get you more races if this will sway you one way or the other. :D

2G: Major Pros: Looks, newer/lower miles, looks
Major Cons: Crankwalk, t25 turbo + plastic BOV

NO we dont usually have problems with Integra LS's, cept if your turboeclipsegsx, or well me......only cuz it was my first day driving a stick! :D

Also, get use to this thread: 12.5@109mph for $775 :D

ohhh i see thanks alot...... i kinda wanted the 2nd gen i do like the look alot better... and the part about the people racing you is true... but im kinda askin if i wanted to run like maybe low-mid 13's could i do that without upgrading the turbo? how much is needed on these cars to make them in that range? i know it took alot on my honda :)

#23 ·
well read that article from my last post, and you can get a slight estimate of how much it costs to run 13's, although Jay's car is just a BEAST. and yes you can run low-mid 13's on either car's stock turbo, but i'd suggest going the 1g route if you want to stay with the stock turbo, because your gonna be swappin out the BOV and turbo in your 2G for the 1G turbo and BOV anyways :D

hehe i see... man 12.52 with only that... thats incredible.... do you have those videos? it wont let me download them :( or do u have AIM maybe so i can talk to u directly and ask you a few more things its a little more direct then this

#25 ·
My theory is: (well at least if you care about racing, street or drag)
Would you rather see the expression on the opponents face......when you roll up to the starting line with a nice, clean 2G. Or see the expression on their face after you ripped them a new one in your "ugly-ass" curveless 1g? :D So basicaly, do u like the before or after part of the race? :)
