I am in the process of sanded down all of the paint on my engine bay and filling up all of the holes that I don't need to clean up the engine bay real good. I would like to see your clean and shaved engine bay to give me ideas on what I can do as I finish up my car. I will post my engine bay as I work on it.

Here's how my engine bay looks as of now. I'll be sanding it down more when I have the time. I haven't gotten to the small spots yet. I'll be removing most of those stuff that is still attached on the firewall.

I am also relocating my fuse box to the glove box. All wires numbered out so it'll be less pain to deal with.

Not going to post any pictures of my genitals in a public forum, sick perv.

PM me for them.

A few years ago a guy posted his 1g that was damn nice. He welded in every hole and smoothed over the spot welds. About the only thing in the bay was the engine, tranny, shifter cables, throttle cable, and i/c piping. He even had the wiring harnesses hidden.

Then got it running, only to be torn back apart,

(yea, its pink. Figured everyone would hate it, so I did it.)

I was just waiting for you to find your way to this thread. I love your work and next time I pull my engineout if the Laser I am giving you a call! :D

I am planning to do the same also. I'd love my engine bay to be just engine, tranny, piping, and big ass turbo. No wires and holes of such.

LOL, Kev wants me to do his whole car, Waterman has requested my help as well. I have a lot more going on with the car, but work is slow as I have other stuff going on.

DSM Rook, absolutely beautiful bay. Where did you get that strut bar?
I made it while at school. Definatly took a full day. Want to tie it to the firewall at some point.

And thanks for the comments. I plan on getting new IC piping as well as a smim.

How about a pic of the glove box fuse box, when you get that completed. Did you put the battery terminal fuses in there also? If not where?

Worked on the spyder a bit today. 1-2 hours today and this is what I got.

I'd say I've sanded down about at least 50% of the engine bay. I still need to fix the rust on the strut tower. It's not that bad but I 'd rather have it done asap.
